Ladbrokes presents its Premier League, with five picks from England’s top flight this weekend.
Domestic club football is back after the final international break of the season, with a huge clash between Man City and Arsenal on display on Sunday afternoon, with the game having major implications on the title race.
The game features as part of our acca, which can be backed at the time of writing for just over over 29/1, with the pick of City and Arsenal to share the points.
Premier League acca
For the first leg of our Premier League acca, we travel to London for Burnley’s trip to Chelsea, where we’re pegging the Blues to emerge with all three points.
Burnley’s chances of staying in the Premier League will have been massively aided by Nottingham Forest’s four point deduction for breaking financial rules, leaving them five points from safety, with nine games left to play.
However, we aren’t expecting Burnley to pick up the valuable points they need at Stamford Bridge, with Nicolas Jackson, Cole Palmer, Raheem Sterling and co likely having too much for Vincent Kompany’s side to handle on Saturday.
For the second leg of our Premier League acca, Newcastle for the Geordies’ game with West Ham, which has all the makings of a fiery affair.
The score was 2-2 when the two sides met in London earlier in the season, and we’re expecting the points to be shared once again, with neither side in the best form.
West Ham will have one eye on their Europa League tie the following week, whilst Newcastle are dealing with a serious injury crisis right now, with Sven Botman undergoing surgery after rupturing his ACL once again.
Given the state of both sides at the moment, and their respective form, a draw makes sense here.
Our final Saturday game takes us back to London for Tottenham’s home tie against Luton, where we’re predicting Ange Postecoglu’s side to emerge with all three points.
Luton are a tough side to play against, but they’ve been slightly weaker at the back over the last few weeks as they try and chase games to ensure their Premier League safety.
We think that Spurs simply have too much to offer in attack, in the form of Heung-min Son and James Maddison especially, to not beat Luton on Saturday, which makes up the third leg of our Premier League acca.
Liverpool will go back to the top of the Premier League, if only for a few hours, should they beat Brighton at Anfield on Saturday, and we’re expecting them to do just that.
Brighton haven’t been in the best form this season, and with star man Mitoma missing the game through injury, we expect Liverpool to brush them aside as they look to pick up as many points as possible in the run-in to the end of the Premier League season.
With the game taking place at Anfield too, we’re predicting a win for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, with odds of 2/5.
Up to Manchester for our final Premier League acca selection, where we’re going with a draw in the huge title game between Arsenal and Man City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
The score was 1-0 at the Emirates earlier in the season, with Arsenal beating City, but we’re expecting the points to be shared this time out.
Kevin De Bruyne and Bukayo Saka both missed the first game of the season between the two sides last year, and while they withdrew from their respective national teams through injury, both are expected to be fit, giving the game a totally fresh edge.
Both teams have so much to offer, both in attack and defence, and we think they’ll end up cancelling each other out, so much so that we’re pegging them to draw, with odds of 13/5.
You can back Ladbrokes’ Premier League acca, at the time of writing, with odds of 29.43/1.
