Chelsea to beat Nottingham Forest

In the game of the weekend, seventh-placed Nottingham Forest host fifth-placed Chelsea at the City Ground, in what could prove to be a shootout for Champions League football.

Both sides have secured at least Conference League football for next season, and with Chelsea playing in the UECL final next week, their season could still prove to be a hugely successful one - but Forest will be desperate to stop them in their tracks.

After being inside the top four for so long, Forest will be gutted to have dropped away over the last few weeks, but while their fate isn't in their hands, they can guarantee a top-six finish with victory here. That being said, both teams are in contrasting runs of form, and with recent home performances being well below par for Forest, we're backing Chelsea to edge a tight affair.

Aston Villa to beat Man United

Having already confirmed European football for the third season in a row, Aston Villa look to secure back-to-back Champions League campaigns when they travel to Old Trafford to face Man United on Sunday.

Unai Emery's Villans have won eight of their last nine Premier League matches, and while they are still relying on results to go their way on the final day, Villa have put themselves in an excellent position. If Villa win and either Chelsea or Newcastle fail to win, Emery's side will finish inside the top five.

Manchester United, however, couldn't have had a less inspiring season, confirmed to be finishing deep inside the bottom half and losing the Europa League final to Tottenham. That heartbreaking hangover is sure to leak into Sunday's performance at Old Trafford, and with absolutely nothing to play for, Ladbrokes can't see the Red Devils getting anything out of this one.

Newcastle to beat Everton

Newcastle know that a win at home to Everton should see them over the line and secure a second Champions League campaign in three years - but the Magpies haven't beaten Everton at St. James' Park since October 2022.

That being said, Newcastle have been formidable at home this season, winning their last six games in front of their own fans, and will be confident of making it seven when they welcome Everton to the North East on Sunday. With Alexander Isak potentially injured, the job does get harder, but a quality squad should see them over the line.

The Toffees are in good form and good spirits following back-to-back wins, and will be keen to spoil the party by grabbing an unlikely result here. However, they know they're finishing 13th, so with Newcastle's added motivation, we can't see past a home win.

Tottenham to win at home to Brighton

Following on from one of the greatest nights in their recent history, Tottenham welcome Brighton to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in excellent spirits - even if they are languishing down in 17th.

That Europa League victory has ultimately saved Tottenham's season, with their league form now pretty much redundant after securing Champions League qualification through the back door, and lifting a trophy in the process. That being said, they'll be keen to keep spirits high on Sunday, so we expect a much better performance from Spurs than we've seen of late.

Brighton will be doing everything they can to finish eighth, just in case the permutations fall their way and they grab a Conference League spot at the last minute. However, Spurs will be riding the crest of Wednesday night's wave, so we're tipping them to claim their first PL win since early April.

Liverpool to win at home to Crystal Palace

Having already been crowned Premier League champions - and already been touted as the favourites to regain their title next year - Liverpool have no pressure on their shoulders as they welcome FA Cup winners Crystal Palace to Anfield to bring the curtain down on an excellent season.

Arne Slot's Reds have inevitably taken their foot off the gas since officially being crowned champions, failing to win in three and surrendering leads in both of their last two matches. Defeat at Brighton surprised a few, but on a day where they finally get their hands on the trophy, Liverpool will be desperate to sign off with a win in front of their own fans.

Crystal Palace have been in good form of late, winning their last three in all competitions and claiming their first ever major trophy, and haven't lost any of their last five Premier League games. The Eagles actually managed to win at Anfield last season, but on a day of celebration, Ladbrokes is backing Liverpool to end their season in style.
