Arsenal 2024 transfers
The summer transfer window started in a big way for Arsenal, with a deal for Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna, who impressed at Euro 2024, being completed to provide more defensive quality to the club's backline.
An attacker have also been linked with Arsenal, but the Gunners have missed out on Benjamin Sesko, with the Slovenian striker opting to stay with RB Leipzig for at least another season, rather than move to the Premier League.
After two games of the Premier League season, Arsenal announced the signing of Mikel Merino, who returns to England from Real Sociedad having previously played for Newcastle. The Spaniard is expected to be a versatile utility player in the centre of midfield.
On transfer deadline day, Raheem Sterling completed a shock move to the club, on loan from Chelsea, with Neto coming on from Bournemouth, also on a temporary deal.
With regards to outgoings, many thought Oleksandr Zinchenko could be on the chopping block, especially with Calafiori coming in and Jurrien Timber back from injury, but he remained at the club. Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah both did leave though, joining Fulham and Crystal Palace on permanent deals.
Thomas Partey could also be leaving Arsenal, as could Eddie Nketiah, who has found himself third in the pecking order up front, behind both Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz.

Arsenal's 2024/25 starting XI
As for the starting XI, David Raya continues as the number one after making his loan move from Brentford a permanent one over the summer.
Ben White and Jurrien Timber are trading minutes at right-back, with Gabriel and William Saliba continuing to establish their partnership at the heart of Arsenal's defence. Calafiori has been trusted at left-back for Arsenal, whilst Timber, Takehiro Tomiyasu and Zinchenko can also play there.
Declan Rice, Jorginho and Thomas Partey are able to fill in as and when needed as the number six, with Rice also trading minutes with Mikel Merino as the left eight as and when Arteta deems fit.

Martin Odeegard, Arsenal's talisman and captain continues to play on the right-hand side of Arteta's midfield three whenever he's fit.
Bukayo Saka comes into the XI on the right-wing, with Leandro Trossard, Gabriel Martinelli and Sterling trading minutes on the left, with Jesus and Havertz also rotating up-front.
The number of options Arsenal have in their forward line means that Arteta is able to call upon whichever attacker he feels is most suited to the opposition he's coming up against.

Arsenal's Premier League odds
Arsenal are second favourites to win the 2024/25 Premier League, with Liverpool on top spot and Man City, Nottingham Forest, Chelsea now far behind.
Whilst the bookies are giving Liverpool the edge, they clearly feel as if the Gunners have enough to go all the way after two back-to-back second placed finishes.
Liverpool actually leapfrogged the Gunners after the two sides drew 2-2 at the Emirates on October 27, remaining two points ahead of them in the process, but results since then have seen the gap widen to six, and it could become nine if Liverpool win their game in hand.
Despite being one of the favourites for the title though, City are 12/1 to go down, but that could be down to the looming threat of a points deduction following the verdict from their 115 charges hearing.
