Premier League Betting Tips: Manchester City & Tottenham to win at home?

Etihad Stadium - Man City

The Premier League midweek juggernaut rumbles on with two huge matches on Wednesday at both ends of the table. Manchester City and Tottenham could pile the pressure on at the top, whereas results for Fulham and Brighton could provide a valuable survival boost.

Pep Guardiola’s side have been showing signs that they are back to their devastating best as they aim to make it four wins in a row in the league against a Brighton side without a win since their victory over Aston Villa in November.

Elsewhere, Spurs could flex their title muscle with three points against relegation threatened Fulham in the capital. Can Jose Mourinho get the job done against a Fulham side unbeaten in four matches?

The Premier League double-header kicks off at the Etihad Stadium for Manchester City v Brighton live on BT Sport before Tottenham and Fulham lock horns in North London on Amazon Prime.

Manchester City v Brighton (18:00)

On paper, Manchester City should stroll to a comfortable win given the standings in the table before kick-off. The Citizens are 2/11 favourites to beat Brighton (16/1).

City go into the match with the incentive that three points will see them move to within a point of reigning champions Liverpool and move into the top four for the first time this season.

Meanwhile, The Seagulls are something of draw specialists with eight of their seventeen matches ending all square, the most in the Premier League. Brighton to draw is 6/1.

Both sides average over 2.5 goals per game this season and both teams to score is a 5/4 shot with over 2.5 goals 1/2.

City have shipped just three goals in their last ten home matches in all competitions, largely thanks to the resurgent John Stones and reliable Ruben Dias, who are both expected to start in defence. City are 4/5 to win to nil.

Can Gabriel Jesus fill the void left by Sergio Aguero? The Brazilian is 21/20 to score anytime with Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden both 7/2 to score first on home soil. Neal Maupay is 7/2 to score anytime for Brighton.

Tottenham v Fulham (20:15)

Spurs are unbeaten in their last seven Premier League London derbies (W3 D4) since losing to Chelsea in February last year. The Lilywhites are 2/5 to maintain that record with a win.

Visitors Fulham will be hoping to have turned a corner under Scott Parker having recorded an FA Cup third round victory last time out as they turn their attentions to Premier League survival.

The Cottagers remain in the relegation zone with 11 points from their fifteen matches. Fulham are unbeaten in their last four Premier League matches, albeit four draws. They’re 7/1 underdogs to win and 18/5 to make it five draws in a row.

For the hosts, there are injury concerns over Moussa Sissoko and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. However, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are set to start having been rested in the FA Cup at the weekend. Kane is 8/11 to score anytime with Son 5/2 to score first.

Fulham have no fresh injury concerns which will delight Scott Parker as they head into a crucial stage of the season and could opt for the same starting XI that played against Southampton on Boxing Day.

If Fulham score first at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Aleksandar Mitrovic is 9/1 to break the deadlock with Bobby De Cordova-Reid 10/3 to score anytime.
