Now the 2024/25 Premier League season is half-way through, Ladbrokes takes you through Bournemouth's squad, their chances of staying in the division and what their starting line-up has been so far.

Andoni Ireola made some very positive steps with Bournemouth last season, and after signing a new deal ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, he'd have been hoping to continue making progress.

Whilst some are of the belief that Bournemouth could end up challenging for the European spots, remaining in the Premier League next season has to be the priority for Ireola and co.

With all that said, Ladbrokes takes you through Bournemouth's squad for the Premier League season, what their team has looked like, and their odds of staying in the division.

Bournemouth's 2024/25 squad

Bournemouth has some top names on its books, so below is a breakdown of the squad they'll be taking into the 2024/25 season.

Bournemouth 2024 transfers

As for their confirmed summer 2024 transfer deals, Luis Sinisterra and Enes Unal's loan moves from Leeds and Getafe respectively have been made permanent, whilst Alex Paulsen joins from Wellington Phoenix in New Zealand and Julian Araujo comes in from Barcelona.

Daniel Jebbison and Koby Mottoh, both young prospects for the future, also joined Bournemouth as free agent signings. Jebbison is on his way out of the club for the season though, joining Watford for the campaign.

The club has also signed Dean Huijsen from Juventus, with the talented Dutch defender having spent last season on loan with Roma. Kepa Arrizabalaga has also joined, but only on a season-long loan from Chelsea.

With two goalkeepers coming in, one was able to leave, with Neto departing on loan to join Arsenal as the cover for David Raya.

The big signing sees Evanilson join from Porto, brought in as the replacement for Dominic Solanke who completed a big money move to Tottenham in August.

Kieffer Moore has left Bournemouth for Sheffield United, whilst Lloyd Kelly, Ryan Fredericks, Emiliano Marcondes and Darren Randolph all left the club with their deals expiring.

Gavin Kilkenny is also out of the club on a permanent deal, leaving Bournemouth for Swindon in the lower leagues of England.

Joe Rothwell joins Leeds on loan, whilst Hamad Traore, Romain Faivre, Charlie Osborne, Michael Dacosta Gonzalez, Chris Mepham, Jaidon Anthony have also left for Auxerre, Stade Brestois, TSV Hartberg, Crawley, Sunderland and Burnley respectively, also on loan deals.

Daniel Adu-Adjei, Finn Tonks and Billy Terrell have also left on temporary deals, joining Carlisle United, Torquay and Weymouth respectively for the season.

Bournemouth's 2024/25 starting XI

Kepa Arrizabalaga starts in goal for Bournemouth, with two of Marcos Sensei, Huijsen and Illya Zabarnyi playing in front of him. The defence is flanked by two of the following Araujo and Milos Kerkez, the latter of whom was someone that Man United have been looking at this summer. Adam Smith is also be able to come in and play when needed.

Tyler Adams will play when fit. The American had a horrid time with injuries after joining Bournemouth last summer, when at one point, it seemed like he was heading to Chelsea.

Lewis Cook Ryan Christie should be the two midfielders playing in front of him, whether that's Cook as a six alongside Adams and Christie as a ten, or both as 8s in Ireola's system. Alex Scott, a player with immense talent, is also able to come in and play when needed.

Evanilson leads the line with Unal waiting in the wings, Antoine Semenyo and Justin Kluivert are the two main starters out wide, but Bournemouth have a host of other attacking talent that can play there too.

Bournemouth's 2024/25 odds

It's pretty clear that Bournemouth are going to be playing football in the Premier League next season. Interestingly, Bournemouth kicked off the the season with similar odds of going down to Man City, who are at 12/1 to get relegated from the Premier League, owing that to their 115 charges and a potential points deduction that could come their way.

Bournemouth have been given a 92% chance of finishing inside the top ten, a 17% chance of finishing inside the top six, and an 4% chance of shocking the world to secure a spot in next season's Champions League by finishing in one of the top four places.

Bournemouth's Premier League 2024/25 fixtures

Bournemouth kicked off their season with a 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest on August 17 at the City Ground, before hosting Newcastle eight days later, where they drew 1-1 once again.

A game against Chelsea on September 14 ended in a 1-0 loss, with Ireola's side also losing to Liverpool, with that fixture ending 3-0. Also was September is a game against Southampton, which ended in a 3-1 win, before Leicester beat 1-0 Bournemouth in the first game of the following month on October 5.

Arsenal came to the Vitality Stadium on October 19 and were shocked by beating beaten 2-0. The Cherries will be hoping for another giant killing the following month, with Man City coming to the Vitality Stadium on November 2, and that's exactly what happened, with Ireola delivering a 2-1 win.

Bournemouth hosted Tottenham on December 5, with Dominic Solanke failing to score against his former club as the Cherries beat Spurs 1-0.

On Boxing Day, Bournemouth drew 0-0 with Crystal Palace, before kicking off 2025 with another home game, this time beating Everton 1-0.

It was Liverpool at home on February 1, which ended in a 2-0 loss, before Brighton beat Bournemouth 2-1 on February 25 to close out that month's set of fixtures. Ipswich then travel to face Ireola's side on April 1.

Bournemouth's final few games of the season aren't easy, as they face Aston Villa at home on May 10, Man City away from home on May 18, and then on the final day of the season, Leicester at home, with both teams hoping to be safe by that point.

A plethora of games from the 2024/25 season will be shown from August 16, 2024 to May 25, 2024 on Amazon Prime, Sky Sports and BT Sport for viewers in the UK.
