Liverpool are the last team, not named Man City, to win the Premier League title. The Reds brought the trophy to Anfield for the first time in 2020, and five years on, will be hoping to do the same.
Ladbrokes takes you through Liverpool's squad for the current Premier League season, what their starting line-up has looked like for the season so far, and their odds of winning the title once again.

Liverpool 2024 transfers
The transfer window has been quite quiet for Liverpool so far, despite a vocal portion of the fanbase feeling as if the Reds need to make significant improvements in the market if they are to challenge City and Arsenal once again.
Liverpool did look at a move for Anthony Gordon from Newcastle, trying to capitalise on the Geordies' PSR issues, but a transfer didn't materialise. The deal was thought to be linked to a potential exit for Luis Diaz, but the ex-Porto winger looks to be staying at Anfield.
The Reds also looked to bring in Martin Zubimendi, but the Real Sociedad midfielder rejected a move to Liverpool, opting to stay with his boyhood club instead. Despite that transfer blow, the Reds haven't panicked, and seem to be quite happy not bringing in a midfielder this summer.
One player who has moved from Spain though is Giorgi Mamardashvili, whose transfer to the Reds has also been confirmed. However, the Georgian keeper will remain at Valencia for the forthcoming season, and won't actually move to Anfield until the summer of 2025, at the very earliest.
Federico Chiesa has joined the club too, from Juventus. The talented winger will be able to come in for Mohamed Salah when needed, and has the added versatility of being able to play off the left and through the middle too. The Italian has cost shy of £13m, so it's a real no-risk move for the Reds.

This summer is also interesting for Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Trent Alexander-Arnold, Liverpool's three most important players in the eyes of many. All three have their current contracts expire in 2025, and Sporting Director Richard Hughes is said to view tying the trio down to new deals as a high priority.
Liverpool's 2024/25 starting XI
Liverpool's squad hasn't really changed all that much in the Klopp to Slot transition, with Alisson playing in goal when he's fit. Ibrahima Konate plays alongside Virgil van Dijk in defence. Andy Robertson and Trent Alexander-Arnold, as always, are the first-choice full-backs when fit.

In midfield, Alexis Mac Allister and Ryan Gravenberch are the two deepest players, with Curtis Jones also able to play there. Liverpool's number 17 can also play as the number ten in this system, a role he shares with Dominik Szoboszlai.
As for the forward line, Mohamed Salah plays on the right, with Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota trading minutes up top, and Luis Diaz and Cody Gakpo swapping out on the left.
Liverpool's Premier League odds
Liverpool are the favourites to be crowned Premier League champions once come the end of next season, with Arsenal, Chelsea, Bournemouth, Nottingham Forest, Man City priced behind them.
Liverpool finished third in the 2023/24 season, despite running Arsenal and City close for the majority of the campaign, but the bookies think they're ahead of their two title rivals in the race, as well as the surprise package Chelsea.
Ladbrokes has given the Reds just over 80% chance of winning the title for the first time since 2020. Interestingly, City have odds of 12/1 to go down next season, a probability of 8%, but a lot of that has to do with a potential points deduction following the verdict of their 115 charges.
Liverpool's Premier League 2024/25 fixtures
Slot's first game as Liverpool manager was an away trip at Portman Road to face Ipswich, who came off off the back of back-to-back promotions to England's top-flight.
The Reds won the game 2-0, kicking off the Dutchman's reign as Liverpool manager in good fashion. The next game saw another 2-0 win for Slot, this time against Brentford at Anfield.
In his third game, Slot travelled to Old Trafford for one of the biggest games in Liverpool's season, an away fixture against Man United, which the Reds won 3-0 in convincing fashion.
October could prove to be a tricky month for Liverpool, as after a 2-1 home win against Chelsea on October 20, Liverpool travelled to London for an away game against title rivals Arsenal on October 27, which ended in a hard-fought 2-2 draw.
It was rest for the wicked as Liverpool then host Man City on December 1, beating them 2-0, after an away games against Newcastle saw them draw 3-3. The next game was supposed to see them face Everton in the final Goodison Park derby on December 7, but that fixture was postponed due to Storm Darragh.

In what could prove to be a good omen for Liverpool fans, they faced Leicester City at the King Power on Boxing Day, which was also the case when they won the league during the 2019/20 season. The Reds won that 3-1.
On January 5 they then hosted Man United at home, their game of 2025, frustratingly drawing that 2-2. On February 22, they then traveled to Manchester for a huge game against Man City which ended in a big 2-0 win.
The Anfield edition of the Merseyside Derby takes place on April 4, with Liverpool then facing Chelsea at Stamford Bridge a month later on May 3.
Liverpool then face Arsenal at Anfield on May 10, before their final two games of the season see them come up against Brighton away from home and Crystal Palace at Anfield on May 25.
