Published:
Now the 2024/25 Premier League season is mid-way through, Ladbrokes takes you through Nottingham Forest's squad, their chances of qualifying for Europe, and what their starting XI has been.
Forest managed to beat the drop last year and remain in the Premier League for the forthcoming season, despite being hit with a points deduction for financial wrongdoing, just like Everton.
Many fans were hoping that Nuno Espirito Santo's first full season would be a positive one, but it's gone even better than the most optimistic fans would have thought, with Forest in the running for a spot in the Champions League for next season.
With all that said, Ladbrokes takes you through Nottingham Forest's squad for the current Premier League season, what their starting line-up has looked like, and their odds of finishing inside the top four.
Nottingham Forest's 2024/25 squad

Nottingham Forest 2024 transfers
As noted, Everton have been busy with summer in terms of confirmed transfers, with Elliot Anderson's move from Newcastle to the City Ground being the pick of the bunch.
As part of the same deal, former Benfica goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos has gone the other way, and will be playing for Newcastle next season. Signing from Man City is George Murray-Jones, but that move is definitely one for the future.
Marko Stamenic is another incoming, joining from Red Star Belgrade, but he's gone straight out on loan to Olympiacos, whilst Eric da Silva Moreira has signed from St Pauli in Germany and is expected to remain with the first team. Another fullback coming into the club is Alex Moreno, who has left Aston Villa to join Forest on loan.
Kristian Fletcher has signed from DC United on loan, with James Ward-Prowse also joining on a temporary deal, this time from West Ham.

Carlos Miguel joins from Corinthians in Brazil, whilst talented centre-back Nikola Milenkovic has signed from Fiorentina, and will be adding some much-needed quality to Forest's back-line, whilst Jota Silva and Ramon Sosa join from Portugal and Paraguay to provide depth in the forward line.
With Miguel coming into the club, Forest thought they had enough depth in between the sticks and let Matt Turner leave on loan to Crystal Palace.
David Carmo has been signed from Porto, but the defender won't be playing his football at the City Ground until next year at the very least, as he's immediately gone out on loan to Olympiacos.
Carmo isn't the only defender signed from Portugal, with Morato joining from Benfica, but unlike the ex-Porto man, he'll be remaining at the City Ground for the season.
Shae Cahill joins as a 19-year-old from Brisbane Roar, but it remains to be seen whether he'll be in and around the first team at Forest, working in the youth set-up, or sent out on loan for regular minutes to aid in his development.
As for the outgoings, Felipe, Cheikou Kouyate, Wayne Hennessey, Joel Thompson, Harry Arter and Scott McKenna have all left after their deals expired, with Orel Mangala and Moussa Niakhate both joining Lyon on a permanent basis as the French side fight to make it into the Champions League.
Julian Larsson has moved to Burton Albion, whilst Brandon Aguilera has joined Rio Ave in Portugal in a permanent move. As for loan departures, Jonathan Panzo, Omar Richards and Espa Osong have joined the aforementioned Rio Ave, Rio Ave and Rotherham respectively.
Lewis O'Brien will be playing in the US for the season at Los Angeles FC, and Dale Taylor will be starring Chesterfield for the next nine months.Ex-club captain Joe Worrall and Alex Mighten have also moved on, this time to Burnley and San Diego on permanent deals.
Josh Bowler signs for Preston North End on loan, with Jamie McDonnell and Manni Norkett moving on loan moves to Colchester and Cheltenham respectively.
Nottingham Forest's 2024/25 starting XI
Matz Sels plays in goal for Forest with Murillo and Milenkovic ahead of him. Part of the season the club have been so good this season is because of their solid defence, which sees Alex Moreno and Ola Aina, formerly of Chelsea, as their wingbacks.
The middle of the park should be populated by Ryan Yates and two more offensive players in Elliot Anderson and Morgan Gibbs-White. Danilo would have featured, but he suffered a serious ankle injury and won't be playing again until 2025.
Callum Hudson-Odoi and former Man United winger Anthony Elanga are the forwards for Forest, alongside Chris Wood, who has played so well that he's kept the ever-talented Taiwo Awoniyi out of the team.

Nottingham Forest's Premier League odds
After a storming start to the season, the bookies think Forest have no chance of getting relegated from the Premier League this season, and that comes after the bookies had them as right around the likes of Ipswich, Everton, Southampton and even Leicester with regards to the pre-season relegation odds.
Interestingly, the bookies have Man City at a 8% chance of getting relegated from the Premier League. That's down to the potential points deduction they could be hit with though, if the verdict from the case looking into their 115 charges doesn't go their way.
Nuno's side have around an 94% chance of finishing side the top six and a 64% chance of finishing in the Champions League places.
The favourites to win the Premier League though are Liverpool, who the bookies feel have the best shot of being crowned Champions, meaning that they could be successful in their attempts of winning their first league title since 2020.
