Premier League 2025/26 Relegation odds: Sunderland given 23% chance of survival
Published:
Now that the 2024/25 season is over, Ladbrokes has released its Premier League 2025/25 relegation odds, with Sunderland being given a 23% chance of survival.
Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester were all relegated from the Premier League at the end of the most recent campaign, with all three promoted sides once again going straight back down to the Championship after only one season in England's top-flight.
And unfortunately for Sunderland, Burnley and Leeds, the bookies are tipping the promoted trio to follow in their footsteps in failing to beat the drop.
Premier League 2025/26 Relegation odds
Sunderland most likely to get relegated
As is becoming somewhat of a traditional in the Premier League, the bookies are tipping all three promoted teams to last just one season in England's top-flight.
Sunderland, who won the 2025 Championship playoff final, are being given an assumed probability of over 76% of getting relegated this season, priced by the bookies as the most likely side to finish inside the bottom three.
Next up are Burnley and Leeds, both of whom have been given less than a 50% chance of remaining in the Premier League come May 2026.
Wolves to be in the relegation mix again
The bookies don't think that Wolves are going to get relegated this season, but just as was the case this campaign, the latest odds suggest they'll be in the mix.
Brentford, Everton, Fulham and West Ham are all priced at 6/1 at the time of writing, while Crystal Palace and Bournemouth are the only other teams with shorter odds than 10/1.
Tottenham finished in 17th place this season, but still qualified for the Champions League next season through winning the Europa League.
Despite being the lowest-placed team who will compete in the Premier League next season, they're priced at 40/1 to get relegated this season. Manchester United, another side who had a horrible campaign, are at 20/1.
The hope for all of the promoted sides, and everyone else in the division for what it's worth, will be that they don't end the season with the lowest points tally in Premier League history.
Southampton ended the season with 12 points, just one more than Derby in 2007/08, who are regarded as the worst side in the history of the Premier League.
Liverpool tipped to win the Premier League once again
As for the top of the table, Liverpool are tipped to have a big summer in terms of transfers and go back-to-back by winning the Premier League once again.
Arne Slot's side are priced as the favourites to win the Premier League next season, ahead of both Manchester City and Arsenal, as well as outsiders Chelsea and Newcastle.
The Reds' chances of winning the league are expected to be aided by the signing of Florian Wirtz, with a move for the Leverkusen man so advanced that Ladbrokes have suspended betting on the player moving to Liverpool.
