Now the 2024/25 Premier League season is mid-way through, Ladbrokes takes you through Tottenham's squad, their chances of winning the title next year and what their starting line-up has been.

It was a good first campaign for Ange Postecoglu in charge of Spurs, with the former Celtic manager restoring a positive feeling at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium, and he'd have been hoping to continue that into his second-term.

The aim for Tottenham has to be getting back into the Champions League, aiming to finish in the top four five years after a heartbreaking 2-0 loss to Liverpool in their first-ever UCL final in Madrid.

With all that said, Ladbrokes takes you through Tottenham's squad for the Premier League season, what their starting line-up has looked like, and their odds of finishing inside the top ten.

Tottenham's 2024/25 squad

Below is the squad that Spurs have taken into the 2024/25 season, where they're competing in both the Premier League and the Europa League, as well as both the English domestic cups.

  • Guglielmo Vicario, Fraser Forster, Brandon Austin, Alfie Whiteman
  • Sergio Regulion, Radu Dragusin, Destiny Udogie, Cristian Romero, Pedro Porro, Djed Spence, Ben Davies, Micky van de Ven
  • Yves Bissouma, James Maddison, Archie Gray, Lucas Bergvall, Pape Matar Sarr, Rodrigo Bentancur, Alfie Devine, Mikey Morre
  • Heung-min Son, Richarlison, Timo Werner, Dejan Kulusevski, Brennan Johnson, Manor Soloman, Wilson Odobert, Dominic Solanke

Spurs' squad is a lot thinner than most of their Premier League rivals, like Chelsea for example, so Postecoglu will need to rely on his fringe and youth players if he wants to take Spurs far in all the competitions avaliable.

Tottenham 2024 transfers

Tottenham have done some good business in the summer 2024 transfer window so far, with Archie Gray's move from Leeds being the pick of the bunch.

Despite having a medical scheduled with Brentford, Spurs were able to hijack the deal and persuaded the Leeds youngster to join them, a move coup for both the present and future.

Gray replaces Pierre Emile Hojbjerg, who joins Marseille on an initial loan deal, with Robert De Zerbi's side being obliged to make that move permanent next year.

He's also been signed to take the spots of Oliver Skipp and Giovanni Lo Celso, with the club deciding that now is the right time to sell the midfielders, with the pair joining Leicester and Real Betis respectively.

Dominic Solanke has signed from Bournemouth for a deal that could reach £65m if various conditions are met, whilst Wilson Odobert has joined from Burnley in the Championship.

As for outgoings, Joe Rodon joined Leeds as part of the deal for Gray to move to Spurs, with Manor Soloman also dropping down to the Championship to play for Leeds, but only on a loan deal.

Yago Santiago and Nile John leave for Elche and CD Feirense respectively, with Troy Parrott finally getting the permanent move he's been looking for, with AK Alkmaar taking the Irish striker.

Tottenham's 2024/25 starting XI

Guglielmo Vicario was always going to keep his place in between the sticks, with Fraser Forster only ever coming in when needed due to injury.

Destiny Udogie and Pedro Porro remain as Spurs' important full-backs, playing both wide and inside, with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero as the centre-backs, although Radu Dragusin has played a fair amount in his own right due to injury.

The midfield sees Yves Bissouma as a six, with Pape Matar Sarr and James Maddison further up as eights. Dejan Kulusevski can also play in the middle, as well as out wide on the right.

Dominic Solanke and Heung-min Son also play when fit, with the spot on the right, if not being filled by Kulusevski, often going to Brennan Johnson.

Tottenham's Premier League odds

Arsenal are, to the disappointment of Spurs fans, second-favourites to win next season's Premier League, behind Liverpool, and ahead of Chelsea, Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth and Man City, the latter of whom have won the league in four of the last four seasons.

After such a poor start to the campaign, Postecoglu's side have a 5% chance of finishing in the top six once again, with bookies not even having odds on them playing Champions League football for the 2025/26 campaign by finishing in the top four this season.

Tottenham's Premier League 2024/25 fixtures

Tottenham kick off their Premier League season with the first Monday Night Football of the campaign, an away game against top-flight returnees Leicester City. In their next game, Spurs showed what they are really all about, dispatching Everton at home with a 4-0 win.

After an away trip to Newcastle on September 1, which they lost 2-1, Spurs' first game after the first international break of the season saw them host Arsenal in the first North London derby of the campaign, a game Postecoglu was eager to win. However, it was the Gunners who won, beating their rivals 1-0.

Man United hosted Spurs in Manchester on September 29, with that game ending in a 3-0 win for the North London club, whilst an away game against Man City awaits on November 23, with that ending in an emphatic 4-0 win.

Tottenham then hosted Chelsea losing that game 4-3 on December 8, but was no rest of the wicked as they lost 6-3 to Liverpool on December 22. Their next big game took place in North London, with the derby seeing them lose 2-1 to Arsenal on January

Tottenham then beat Man United 1-0 at home on February 15, before fellow Manchester club Man City travelled to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium ten days later, with Pep Guardiola's side winning 1-0.

Chelsea host Spurs on April 2, before Tottenham travel to Anfield later on that month to play Liverpool on April 26.

The season finishes with Spurs facing three hard-to-beat teams, starting with Crystal Palace at home on May 10, Aston Villa away on May 18, and Brighton in London in their final game of the season on May 25.
