Colin Tizzard’s Native River was a notable absentee from today’s list of 2017 Grand National entries with the Dorset handler instead opting to field Peter Marsh Chase flop, Alary.

The Last Samuri is the joint-favourite for this year’s Aintree spectacular. Runner-up last year, Kim Bailey’s charge was most recently seen finishing a close third in the Becher Handicap Chase on Merseyside.

Don Poli is the most high-profile of Gordon Elliott’s entries with the fellow 16/1 shot among 14 possibles for the Irish trainer.

Lucinda Russell’s Classic Chase hero One for Arthur (20/1) is also included with our traders putting the rest of the field at 25/1 or bigger.

Of those, Outlander is another eye-catching Gigginstown entrant with Carlingford Lough, Minella Rocco, Cause Of Causes and More Of That amongst the eight possible runners who could sport the green and gold of owner JP McManus.

Former Cheltenham Gold winner Lord Windermere could also be set to have another crack at the world’s greatest steeplechase.

Nigel Hawke’s Samingarry is the biggest priced horse at 150/1.
