2.30, Queen Mary Stakes – Harry’s Girl
Harry’s Girl is a beautiful filly who won really nicely at Newmarket. She was a bit gassy at York when she got beat last month, but she seems to be very settled at home. She will have help down at the start here, just to help keep a lid on her. She’s in very good form, so I’m hoping for a huge run out of her.
5.00, Royal Hunt Cup – Talis Evolvere
Talis Evolvere is a well-campaigned horse who’s mostly consistent, and I think the track will suit him. He’s in very good form at home, so hopefully that translates. Albeit I think the handicapper probably has him accurate at his mark, so he’s liable to run into an improver, but he is a very consistent horse who always runs his race. His price (50/1) only reflects the fact that he’s not won this year.
6.10, Windsor Castle Stakes – Logi Bear
Logi Bear is a nice horse who took a couple of runs to come to hand before he got his head in front – and when he did, he did that very nicely. He’s got plenty of speed, and he’s straightforward. I thought he ran a nice race recently at Epsom in the Woodcote on ground that probably didn’t suit him. For the connections, I hope he runs a massive race.
