3.05, King George V Stakes – Propose
This is a nice ride to pick up. He won nicely last time out at the Curragh, and we’ve had a nice draw. It’s a very competitive race, and you need a bit of luck to win, but it’s for the right trainer (Aidan O’Brien), so we’ve got a very good chance.
6.10, Buckingham Palace Stakes – Witch Hunter
Witch Hunter has always been very good on this racecourse, the trip is 100% and he’s in flying form at home – he ticks all the boxes on this occasion. Obviously, it being Royal Ascot, you need a bit of luck. But he’s perfect.
Queen Anne Stakes reaction
A photo finish is 100% the worst way to lose. At the end of the Queen Anne, I asked Mark Zahra if he thought he had me or not. I hoped that I’d done it, but it was so close that I couldn’t tell. That’s racing for you!
