The latest round of Premier League action wraps up tonight as Southampton host Liverpool, with both sides looking to start 2021 a crucial win.
League leaders Liverpool have seen Manchester United draw level with them after two successive draws. Southampton haven’t been at their best either, going four games without a win. However, a win here would take Saints level on 29 points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.

Despite their recent blip, Liverpool are 4/7 favourites for a seventh straight league win over Southampton.

Talking Tactics
Jannik Vestergaard is expected to miss out for the home side. Jack Stephens is set to replace the Dane at the back.
Danny Ings returned to the starting XI against West Ham United and will be looking forward to facing his former side, while Stuart Armstrong could come back in.
With Joel Matip unavailable for Liverpool, Nate Phillips is in line to continue alongside Fabinho in central defence.
Thiago has barely played for the Reds since his arrival, he’s in line to make just his second start for the club after returning from injury. His presence could add some extra zip to Liverpool’s passing. Georginio Wijnaldum should also return, with Jordan Henderson taking the third midfield spot.
