St Johnstone issue hands-off warning over Michael O’Halloran

St Johnstone’s star forward Michael O’Halloran is going nowhere when the January transfer window opens.
That is according to Saints manager Tommy Wright who has issued a hands-off warning to potential suitors.
O’Halloran, a winter window signing himself in 2014, has been in spectacular form for the Saints of late, scoring two goals in a week at the end of last month to help secure wins over Morton and Hamilton respectively.
That form is expected to attract the attention of a number of clubs but despite describing him as the best player in Scottish football at present Wright is adamant he can hold on to his man.
“Michael is not for sale unless we get an unbelievable offer for him. Even then it would have to be right for the player because he is happy here and signed an extension recently to 2017,” he told The Courier.
“He is attracting attention and rightly so because of the form he is showing. But we want to keep him here.”
Saints have now won four of their last five Ladbrokes Premiership games and now trail third-place Aberdeen by just five points.
Wright’s side welcome Kilmarnock to McDiarmid Park this weekend and go into the game as the 8/13 favourites.
Killie can be backed at 17/4, with the draw on at 14/5 but in his current form the smart money could be on O’Halloran hitting the back of the net for a third game in succession.
