The Strictly Come Dancing Christmas Special is the current favourite to be this year’s most watched TV show on Christmas Day, according to the latest odds.

As the countdown towards the post-turkey TV marathon begins, we’ve been looking ahead to which show will take home the 2016 bragging rights.

And right now the money is pointing towards Strictly at odds of 7/4.

Meanwhile, despite its early slot,The Great British Bake Off could wave goodbye to the BBC with one final hurrah at 5/2, or there’s 3/1 on offer Mrs Brown’s Boys wins the accolade once again.

A huge 10/1 is the next price available with the bookies for Call The Midwife or Frozen to take the top spot with The Queen’s annual speech priced up at 12/1.

Jessica Bridge of Ladbrokes said: “All bets are off when it comes to Auntie Beeb landing the most watched show this year on Christmas Day. It’s just a case of whittling down the programmes and, at this stage, punters reckon it’s a three-horse race between Strictly, Bake Off and Mrs Brown.”
