The Masters 2025 odds: Can Rory McIlroy finally win the Green Jacket?

The 89th edition of The Masters is underway and Ladbrokes takes you through the odds and favourites as players battle to take home the prestigious Green Jacket.

Could this finally be the year Rory McIlroy wins his elusive first ever Masters title and completes the Grand Slam?

The popular Northern Irishman, who is in the running to win the 2025 Sports Personality of the Year, heads to the USA in great form but has Scottie Scheffler standing in his way, according to the bookies, with the American world No1 the favourite to become the first repeat winner of The Masters since fellow compatriot Tiger Woods in 2002 after storming to victory a year ago.

Justin Rose has made a flying start at Augusta, finishing the first day with an impressive 65 for -7, which saw has seen him shoot up to become Scheffler's biggest challenger at 5/1, as of the time of writing.

Last year's runner-up Ludwig Aberg is following closely behind on 6/1 as he sits on -4 alongside Scheffler after the first round, with Bryson De Chambeau and McIlroy the next favourites according to the bookies.

Corey Conners, Tyrell Hatton and Akshay Bhatia have all shot up the odds after strong opening rounds in Atlanta.

After securing his third Masters triumph in four years as part of a stunning 2024 which saw him claim nine worldwide titles overall and ending the first day on -4, Scheffler is the 9/4 bookies' favourite to keep hold of the Green Jacket once again.

But despite heading to Augusta as World No1, the 28-year-old does not arrive in great form with the Olympic gold medallist yet to win on the PGA Tour this campaign.

That is perhaps where McIlroy has the edge over his top-two rival after dazzling with a victory in the Pebble Beach Pro-AM and a play-off success over JJ Spaun at The Players last month.

After a number of heartbreaking near-misses since his first appearance at Augusta in 2010, could the stars be aligning for McIlroy to complete a career Grand Slam by adding the final Major to his collection? After Thursday's action which saw him shoot a 72 for par, he is priced at 12/1 to do just that as of the time of writing.
