The Voice winner likely to be will.i.am at mid-point of auditions
Published:Despite having early front-runner Jaz Ellington in his team in series one of The Voice, will.i.am lost out to Sir Tom Jones when it came to coaching the winner.
However, an early look at The Voice betting at the mid-way point of the blind auditions stage of the BBC show in the second series suggest he is the judge with the best prospects of coaching the winner at this point.
It is 5/2 that will.i.am coaches The Voice winner and he has three of the top six in the show winner market, including the 9/1 outright favourite Liam Tamne.
Then Cleo Higgins, no stranger to chart success in her younger days with her sisters in the girl group Cleopatra is 12/1, alongside will.i.am lookalike Matt Henry.
In total, the team of the Black Eyed Peas singer is only five artists at present, the smallest alongside that of Danny O’Donoghue.
This means that there is plenty of time for will.i.am to still assemble an even stronger line-up with another seven spots up for grabs before the programme moves onto the next stage.
Like will.i.am, Jessie J is also 5/2 to coach the show winner, but her team does not look to have the strength to match her fellow judge at this stage.
Alex Buchanan appears the most current of her acts and he is afforded a 12/1 price to win the show as a result, although Ash Morgan, one of a rare few Welsh entrants to refrain from picking Sir Tom as their coach, may be her best hope at 14/1.
Meanwhile, Danny is 11/4 to coach the show winner and it remains to be seen if the other judges are right to keep leaving any acts with a rock vibe for him to snap up.
This leaves Sir Tom as the 3/1 to coach the winner for the second series in succession.
