Ladbrokes looks at the Tottenham next manager odds, with the market for Spurs' next boss now open after the club have decided to sack Ange Postecoglu.

At the Tottenham parade following their Europa League win over Manchester United in May, Ange told Tottenham fans to get excited for his third season in charge.

However, less than a few weeks after the Premier League season came to an end, Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy made the decision to sack the former Celtic manager, with Thomas Frank the heavy favourite to take over.

Tottenham have sacked Ange Postecoglu

Many fans felt, after a poor season domestically, that Ange wouldn't be Tottenham's manager come the beginning of the 2025/26 Premier League campaign.

However, after guiding Spurs into the Champions League next season after winning the Europa League with the North London side, some felt Levy simply couldn't sack the manager.

Despite winning Spurs their first trophy since 2008, Ange has now been sacked by the club's board, with the decision being revealed by Spurs on June 6.

Tottenham's official X account posted: "Following a review of performances and after significant reflection, the Club can announce that Ange Postecoglou has been relieved of his duties. We are extremely grateful to Ange for his commitment and contribution during his two years at the Club. Ange will always be remembered as only the third manager in our history to deliver a European trophy. Thank you, Ange."

Thomas Frank heavy favourite to become Tottenham's next manager

As many expected, Frank is the favourite to become Tottenham's next manager, with the Brentford manager being linked with several high-profile jobs over the last few years.

Since guiding Brentford into the Premier League in 2021, Frank has shown himself to be one of the best man-managers in England, with many fans and pundits feeling that he's more than earned one of the league's biggest jobs.

The bookies have Frank as odds-on to become Tottenham's next manager, with Marco Silva believed to be his closest competition at this stage.

As for the other names in the running, Silva rounds out the top two, but after rejecting approaches from Saudi Arabia, the feeling amongst many is that the Portuguese coach will still be managing Fulham come the beginning of next season.

Andoni Iraola, Robert De Zerbi, Oliver Glasner, Manuel Pellegrini and Kieran McKenna are also all priced with odds at 20/1 or shorter, but the feeling amongst the bookies is that it'd be a surprise if any of the five aforementioned names were appointed over Frank at this stage.

Xavi of Barcelona fame is amongst the chatter, and given that he's not in an active coaching role right now, he'll be a cheaper option for Levy to consider. He shares the odds of 25/1 with ex-Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker.

Jurgen Klopp major outsider for Tottenham job

Speaking of former Spurs players, Michael Carrick is also under consideration, with that move being one that wouldn't require Tottenham to pay any compensation after he left his post as boss of Championship side Middlesbrough recently.

As for the other bookies' outsiders to become Tottenham's next manager, Gareth Southgate is at 40/1, odds he shares with Carrick. The pair are priced further out than Frank Lampard though, with the Chelsea legend at 33/1.

Lampard has the same odds as another ex-Chelsea manager, this time Mauricio Pochettino. The current USMNT boss led Tottenham into a Champions League final in 2019 and still maintains a great relationship with Levy.

While many fans would relish the chance to see Pochettino return to the Tottenham dugout, the latest odds suggest it isn't the most likely outcome.

With the longest odds of the managers listed by Ladbrokes is Jurgen Klopp, with the ex-Liverpool boss making it quite clear through media interviews over the last few months that he isn't interested in returning to management right now.

The main for whoever becomes Spurs' manager next, whether that's Frank or someone else, will be getting Tottenham back to the top of the Premier League.

Who will become Tottenham's next manager?

It's worth noting that this isn't expected to be a long sage for Spurs, with David Ornstein reporting that the club want to make a decision next week on the incoming manager.

David Ornstein posted: "Tottenham Hotspur expected to make decision on new head coach next week after Ange Postecoglou departure. Brentford boss Thomas Frank leading contender to succeed Australian. No contact yet between Tottenham and Brentford over Danish manager."

That sentiment is one that shared by Fabrizio Romano, who as well Frank, is reporting that Silva is one of the names on Levy's shortlist for the open managerial position.

Fabrizio Romano posted: "Thomas Frank and Marco Silva remain two names high on Spurs shortlist after decision to sack Ange Postecoglou. Decision in the upcoming days."
