Two new managers put their unbeaten Premier League starts on the line on Sunday with very different ambitions for the rest of the season.
Antonio Conte masterminded a 2-0 victory over Brentford as Spurs rose to sixth in the table, a couple of points shy of fourth-placed West Ham, while Dean Smith made it three games without losing in a 1-1 draw at 10-man Newcastle during the week.

Smith lined City up in a 4-1-4-1 formation at St James’ Park where Teemu Pukki led the line and Lukas Rupp anchored the midfield behind Billy Gilmour and fellow Scot Kenny McLean.
