Manchester City are viewed as the most likely club to sign the highly-rated Martin Zubimendi in January 2025, according to the bookies, despite reports of an Arsenal move.

The latest transfer odds released from Ladbrokes have Zubimendi at just 6/4 to join Man City in the January window, with Pep Guardiola's side seen as the Real Sociedad midfielder's most likely destination.

That may surprise some, given that reputable sources reported mid-way through January that Arsenal were confident of bringing the midfielder to the club at the end of the season.

However, Citu have struggled massively in the Premier League this season, and are said to be in the market for several top names, with Zubimendi just one of many players linked.

Transfer odds - January 2025 window

Martin Zubimendi to Man City

As has been rumoured for several weeks now, Zubimendi is someone who Guardiola wants to bring to Man City this January, with the idea being that the Spanish midfielder can replace Rodri for the remainder of the campaign and play alongside him when his compatriot is back next season.

Zubimendi was close to joining Liverpool in the summer, but Arne Slot's side aren't expected to be in the mix to sign the talented Euro 2024 winner this window, with Barcelona, Real Madrid, PSG and Man City all more likely.

Marcus Rashford to Barcelona

Next up on the docket is Marcus Rashford, with the Englishman expected to leave Man United this year, potentially as early as January.

Rashford has been left out by Ruben Amorim several times since the ex-Sporting Lisbon manager's first game in charge in November, and an exit from his boyhood club seems to be on the cards.

PSG, AC Milan and a move to the Saudi Pro League could be on the cards for the winger, but Barcelona are currently expected to be Rashford's most likely destination, should be leave United by the end of the January window.

However, ex-Man United star Lee Sharpe recently told Ladbrokes what he thinks it'd take for Rashford to remain at Old Trafford and earn his way back into the side.

[Marcus Rashford] can get back if he wants to come in and work his socks off, as other lads have shown. There’s no reason for him to go if he doesn’t want to. There have been questions over his work ethic, body language and interest in games, and only he can change that.

Mathys Tel to Arsenal

Arsenal are odds-on to bring in Bayern Munich striker Mathys Tel before the transfer window closes, according to Ladbrokes.

Injuries to Saka and Jesus have left the Gunners in need of reinforcement in attack, and wonderkid Tel has emerged as their No. 1 target. The 19-year-old is just 10/11 to swap Munich for North London ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: “Arsenal have been linked to several strikers this month, but no rumours have moved the needle like this. Only time will tell whether they can strike a deal for the Bayern hitman.”

Ben Chilwell to Everton

From one Englishman potentially leaving the Premier League to another, if Ben Chilwell quits Chelsea this January, Juventus are seen as a potential destination, but he could also join West Ham or Everton.

Chilwell could be on his way to Serie A, with Thiago Motta tracking the English left-back who has struggled for minutes under Enzo Maresca at Stamford Bridge.

Whilst Atletico Madrid, Man United and clubs in the MLS have been touted, but it seems like Chilwell's future could see him playing for David Moyes before too long.

Milos Kerkez to Liverpool

From someone who used to be recognised as one of the Premier League's best left-back to someone who is on track to be spoken about in that category, let's turn out attention to Milos Kerkez.

The Hungarian defender has shone for Bournemouth for quite some time now, so much so that Liverpool reportedly see him as one of the potential options to replace the ageing Andy Robertson.

The Reds could be poised to make a move for Kerkez sooner rather than later too, with several other clubs interested. If the left-back is on the move though, the bookies think he's ending up at Anfield.

Viktor Gyokores to Man United

If Rashford does leave Man United, then the Red Devils will be in the market for a new attacker, and Viktor Gyokores could be the man they settle on.

The Swedish striker turned into one of the world's very best under Amorim at Sporting, and the bookies think if he does leave Portugal, it'd be to reunite with his former manager at United.

Also in the running according to the latest odds are Arsenal, who are crying out for a striker, as well as Chelsea, Barcelona, Liverpool and Man City.

Dani Olmo to Man City

Due to ongoing financial issues, Dani Olmo had issues being registered by Barcelona, and the former Leipzig man could find himself looking for another club if the situation isn't sorted this month.

Should a move away from Barcelona have to happen, then Man City is seen as Olmo's most likely destination, and it makes sense given the ageing midfield Guardiola has on offer right now.

However, Bayern Munich are also keeping a close eye on Olmo's situation and could move for him this month, with PSG and clubs in Saudi Arabia also in the mix.

Nico Williams to Arsenal

As noted, Arsenal are in the market for an exciting attacker at the moment, and they don't get much more exciting than Nico Williams.

One of the stars of the Spain side who won Euro 2024 last year, Williams is seen as most likely to join the Gunners if he does leave Athletic Bilbao this month, with Barcelona and Liverpool also in the conversation according to the latest odds.

Mohamed Salah to the Saudi Pro League

Mohamed Salah is in the race to win both PFA Player of the Year at the end of the season and the Ballon d'Or towards the end of 2025, but he may not do so as a Liverpool player.

Salah's deal with Liverpool is set to expire this summer, and with 'no progress' on a new one, some feel that the Reds could opt to cash in on their star attacker, rather than risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season.

If he does go in January, a move to the Saudi Pro League is seen as the most likely option for the 'Egyptian King' but PSG and Real Madrid are seen by the bookies as two European clubs waiting in the wings.

Trent Alexander-Arnold to Real Madrid

Salah isn't the only Liverpool icon whose deal is expiring at the end of the season, with boyhood Reds fan Trent Alexander-Arnold also out of contract this summer.

However, while reports state that the expectation is Salah remains at the club, the same cannot be said for Trent, and the feeling amongst many in the footballing world is that he's headed to Real Madrid in the summer, but what if he moves earlier.

Los Blancos are in the hunt for the Premier League and the Champions League and want to add quality to their squad to make that happen. They've already had a bid rejected for Trent this window and could come back in again before the end of the month.

Marc Guehi to Chelsea

Chelsea academy prospect Marc Guehi, who left for Crystal Palace in 2021, could be on his way back to Stamford Bridge.

Reports state that Enzo Maresca wants to add another centre-back to his roster for the remainder of the season, with Wesley Fofana set to be out with another long-term injury, and Guehi is someone they're said to be going after.

Newcastle were in for the defender over the summer, but Chelsea are seen as the club most likely to secure Guehi's signature if he does leave Palace this January.

Loading...

Alexander Isak to Arsenal

Arsenal target Omar Marmoush seems to be headed to Man City, but the Gunners are still in the market for a superstar attacker, and Alexander Isak may be the man they opt to go for.

The Swede is in top form for Newcastle in the Premier League, and whilst it won't be easy to take him away from St James Park, the feeling is that Arsenal could be the first in line if a move does materialise.

Chelsea, Liverpool and even the aforementioned City are in the running, but if Isak does leave the Geordies this window, the bookies are of the belief it'll be to join Arsenal.

Bryan Mbuemo to Arsenal

One of the issues Mikel Arteta has had to deal with this season has been injuries, with Bukayo Saka out for a long-term hamstring issue.

The man that the Gunners are reportedly after to replace Saka in the short-term and rotate with in the long-term is Bryan Mbuemo, with the Brentford attacker starring in Ladbrokes' Team of the Season so far.

Liverpool are also in the mix, but that could have a lot to do with the uncertainty surrounding Salah's future, with Mbuemo one of the players fans think could replace the Reds' star winger if needed.

Evan Ferguson to West Ham

Evan Ferguson is said to be potentially leaving Brighton this month, either on a short-term loan or a more long-term deal.

The player was handed his Brighton debut by new West Ham manager Graham Potter, and it's said that the pair could be set to reunite in the January window.

The Hammers are seen by the bookies as the club most likely to sign Ferguson this window, but injuries to both of Bournemouth's star attackers means Andoni Ireola's side are also in the running.

Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea

Chelsea may have signed heaps of wingers over the last few windows, but they're in the market for another according to reports.

The Blues reportedly view Man United winger Alejandro Garnacho as their top target, and despite interest from Napoli, Enzo Maresca and co are determined to bring the young Argentinian to the club.

Christopher Nkunku to Bayern Munich

Ladbrokes have cut the odds to 13/8 on Manchester United bringing in Chelsea attacker Christopher Nkunku before the transfer window closes.

With Rashford exiled, Rasmus Hojlund floundering and Joshua Zirkzee not suited to the role up top in Ruben Amorim’s system, a forward is high on the United manager’s shopping list.

The France international has started just three league games this season, but in 29 total appearances, he’s scored 13 goals. Bayern remain the 5/6 favourites for his signature, but United’s interest has seen the odds on his arrival at Old Trafford cut.

Cal Gildart of Ladbrokes said: “United are crying out for fresh blood in attack, and Christopher Nkunku needs minutes. He’s not going to get them at Stamford Bridge, so a temporary switch to Old Trafford might be the best thing for all parties.”
