Trump’s President odds slashed in wake of Clinton FBI investigation

Published:

Donald Trump’s chances of becoming US President have jumped eight per cent in light of the latest FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton, according to the latest odds.

Trump was 7/2 prior to the revelation (21% chance) which led to his odds plummeting to 9/4 (29% chance) in an instant, leaving Clinton to drift to 1/3 from 1/5.

The Republican candidate had already seen a move back towards him becoming President in the week leading up to the story breaking with 5/1 the price offered just seven days ago.

Trump has also now resumed favouritism in key states of Arizona, Iowa and Nevada ahead of the Election on November 8.

Alex Donohue of Ladbrokes said: “The betting markets have got the message following the latest email revelations; Trump is firmly back in contention.

“Just when it looked like the race was over, the odds are narrowing at a key time suggesting this race will go all the way.”
