Strictly Come Dancing is now long expected to introduce a same-sex couple for the first time, according to our traders.

The odds have been slashed into just 1/4 that BBC bosses give the green light to a same-sex partnership on the next series of the hit show.

Former Beeb presenter Steph McGovern is chalked up at even money to take to the dancefloor, with Katie Price fancied at 6/4 to be involved.

Jessie J follows next in the betting at 3/1 with Gillian Anderson rated as a 5/1 shot. Other runners and riders include Jamie Laing (4/5), Jamie Carragher (5/4), Stacey Solomon (4/1) and Joe Wicks (10/1).

Jessica O’Reilly of Ladbrokes said: “It’s about time Strictly followed Dancing on Ice’s footsteps with a same-sex couple, and the odds suggest it will happen during the next series.”

2020 has been a year of change and Strictly may yet be on the act too.
