The third men’s Major of the year sees the world’s best golfers take on one of the game’s most legendary and punishing courses.
The 2025 US Open returns to Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania – one of the most iconic venues in championship golf – for what is expected to be a gruelling four-day battle from June 12-15.
We’ve looked at the latest US Open odds, the key contenders, course profile, and how to bet on the year’s toughest major.
US Open odds and favourites
Scheffler stands in way of Bryson's back-to-back
Fresh off scooping up the third Major of his career at the PGA Championship, World No1 Scottie Scheffler is the overwhelming favourite to claim victory on home soil at 5/2.
The American continued his dominance at the top of the game right now with a five-shot victory at Quail Hollow and the bookies believe he will make it back-to-back Major titles this weekend.
But expect a tough challenge from current holder and LIV Golfer Bryson DeChambeau, who is looking to become the first player to win successive US Open titles since Brooks Koepka in 2017 and 2018.
The hard-hitting and often polarising defending champion has finished in the top six in the last five American Majors and has been first at some point during his last five tournaments - so could the 6/1 contender finish the job here?
Making up the top four are John Rahm and Rory McIlroy, who are 10/1 and 11/1 respectively.
Course: Oakmont Country Club, Pennsylvania
One of the most storied and difficult courses in the United States, Oakmont will host its 10th US Open, the most of any venue.
Known for its lightning-fast greens, narrow fairways, punishing rough, and signature "Church Pews" bunker, Oakmont is the ultimate test of control, patience, and nerve.
Dustin Johnson was the last to tame it in 2016 with a winning score of -4, and history suggests players will again need to battle just to stay around level par.
