Use your Grand National free bets on Comply Or Die

Punters looking to some each-way value in the Grand National odds could do far worse than take advantage of the 40/1 offered on Comply Or Die and jockey Timmy Murphy is certainly expecting the horse to run a big race.

Murphy has partnered Comply Or Die in three previous runnings of the Grand National, including when the pair triumphed in 2008.

Comply Or Die made a gallant defence of his crown when finishing second behind Mon Mome a year later, before also completing 12 months ago when coming home in 12th place.

However, the handicapper has been far nicer to him this year and he certainly has the capabilities of finishing in the top four at Aintree off a relatively low weight of 10st 8lb.

Murphy also believes that the ground expected at Aintree will suit Comply Or Die, as his disappointing recent results have not been helped by the heavy ground or the fact that he has been weighted to the maximum.

The jockey told At The Races: “He’s come down to a reasonable mark now again. It’s taken three years since he won at Aintree.

“He’s in great form and he will love the ground. He’s been round there before and it’s fingers crossed.”

This year’s Grand National represents the first time since his 2008 success that Comply Or Die will carry under 11st in any race and his prior experience over the Aintree fences and his solid track record give him a large edge over many of his opponents.

The one big obstacle that may affect his chances of winning is that he is now a 12-year-old and the race has been dominated by horses aged nine or ten in the past six years.

But customers looking for Grand National free bets should not necessarily be put off, as Amberleigh House was 12 when he won in 2004.

A £20 stake on Comply Or Die winning the Grand National would return £800. New customers can sign up here to take advantage of free bets totalling up to £60.
