West Ham v Tottenham betting tips: London rivals hard to split

West Ham v Tottenham betting tips and odds
Sunday’s London derby is a top-seven clash involving two teams that had contrasting results in Europe on Thursday night.
The Hammers stayed on course for the knockout stage of the Europa League with a 3-0 win against Genk for a third successive group win but Nuno Espirito Santo’s decision to leave behind the starting XI that beat Newcastle backfired as they lost 1-0 at Vitesse in the Europa Conference League.
David Moyes’ side are slight favourites at 27/20 but let’s look at some of the other markets in our West Ham v Tottenham betting tips.
Match Odds
West Ham have the chance to leapfrog fifth-placed Spurs in the Premier League table this weekend and if past encounters are anything to go by, we should be in for a treat at the London Stadium.
Last season, the Hammers ended a three-match losing run in their meetings with Spurs with a 2-1 victory thanks to goals from Michail Antonio and Jesse Lingard.
Spurs are 19/10 to win and 15/4 to do so by a one-goal margin which was the case in all those victories, including a couple of 3-2 successes.

The east Londoners lost their last two home games 2-1 to Manchester United and Brentford and a repeat of that scoreline is 9/1 but in truth this looks a tough match to call, so a draw at 12/5 may appeal to some.
Declan Rice, Tomas Soucek, Jarrod Bowen and Ben Johnson were retained from the 1-0 win at Everton, so Tottenham have the advantage in that sense, but Sunday’s game could go either way so both teams to score and over 2.5/3.5 goals look possibilities at evens and 2/1 respectively.
Similarly, both teams to score, over 2.5 match goals and either team to win is 11/8 as one of our West Ham v Tottenham betting tips and that has paid out in this fixture in the last two seasons.
Talking Tactics
Moyes is likely to stick with his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, so that means Rice and Soucek are likely starters as long as they come through Thursday’s match unscathed.
England midfielder Rice and Aaron Cresswell both came off midway through the second half when West Ham were 3-0 up but Soucek played the whole game.
"I really enjoyed watching the game and watching the players play… Overall, I’m thrilled with the performance and with the result because it’s another win in Europe for us and we’re doing a good job and the players know they’re doing a good job."

Antonio is likely to lead the line with Said Benrahma, Pablo Fornals and Bowen playing behind, while Angelo Ogbonna and Kurt Zouma are likely to be restored in the heart of defence.
Spurs could make 11 changes for the short trip to the London Stadium where Harry Kane, Son Heung-min, Hugo Lloris and Cristian Romero are all expected to start.
Goalscorer Odds
Refreshed Kane is the 7/2 favourite to get the ball rolling and 7/5 to score as one of our West Ham v Tottenham betting tips just as he has done in three of the last four meetings with the Hammers.
Son has scored in two of his previous three Premier League matches and is 5/1 and 15/8 in the two markets, while Tanguy Ndombele is 5/1 to repeat the goal he scored at St James’ Park.
Antonio, rested for Thursday’s win against the Belgians, opened the scoring in last season’s 2-1 win against Spurs and is 9/2 to do so again or 13/8 to find the net as he did in this fixture in the last two campaigns.
Benrahma is 15/2 and 14/5 in the two options while Ogbonna can be backed at 12/1 to score just like at Everton last weekend or 33/1 to break the deadlock.
