When can Liverpool win the Premier League?

Ladbrokes looks at the possible matches where Liverpool could see themselves crowned as Premier League champions.
Unfortunately for Arsenal, it seems at this stage a question on when, not if, Liverpool win the Premier League this season, such is the Reds' lead at the top of the table.
With just five games left to play, including Arsenal having to travel to Anfield in May, Liverpool sit with a 12 point lead at the top of the Premier League and a game in hand. The gap and the fact Liverpool have played one fewer game means that fans, pundits and the bookies think the title is Liverpool's.
Liverpool are the heavy favourites to win the Premier League, but when is it likely to be made official? Ladbrokes aims to answer that question.
When can Liverpool win the Premier League?
Liverpool need one point to win the Premier League, with a total of 15 on offer in their remaining seven games.
Arsenal can only pick up a maximum of 79, which would include an away win at Anfield in May, so Liverpool need to turn their current tally of 79 into 80 to make their title win official.
The earliest Liverpool can mathematically win the title is this weekend when they host Tottenham at Anfield, with Spurs having the opportunity to guarantee that Arsenal, their closest rivals, don't win the Premier League once again this year.
Should Liverpool fail to win at the weekend, with that 12-point gap remaining, then the Reds can win the Premier League at Stamford Bridge the following week when they play Chelsea.
Arsenal will have been gutted to finish the Premier League season in second-place once again, especially considering Man City's drop-off from the last two seasons.
However, the Gunners still have a chance to win a major trophy this season, with Mikel Arteta's side one of the four semi-finalists in the Champions League.
It's not all about teams honours though, with many of Liverpool's players competing for individual awards too between now and the end of the current campaign.
Mohamed Salah is the heavy-favourite to win the PFA Player of the Season, and that isn't too surprising considering he's also the clear front-runner to win the Premier League Golden Boot, such is his lead at the top of the goalscoring charts.
Salah was also the favourite for the 2025 Ballon d'Or, which will be handed out towards the end of the year. However, Liverpool's elimination from the Champions League means that he's no longer leading the market, but he and Virgil van Dijk remain in the running.
Ladbrokes has also looked at the earliest teams have ever won the Premier League, in terms of games to go, in the history of the competition. Liverpool, interestingly enough, already feature on that list.
