Who could follow Kevin De Bruyne out of Man City after FA Cup final defeat?

With Kevin De Bruyne's impending exit set to be the start of a rebuild at Manchester City, Ladbrokes looks at who else could leave the Etihad Stadium this summer.

This City side will go down as one of the best the Premier League has ever seen, having won six of the previous seven titles as well as a famous Treble triumph in 2023.

But this season has been poor for the Citizens, with Saturday's FA Cup final defeat to Crystal Palace seeing them go trophyless for the first time 2016-17, albeit they have all but secured their place in the Champions League next season.

With the current crop seemingly at the end of its cycle as old rivals Liverpool celebrate winning the title, who else could follow De Bruyne, who is expected to be headed to the MLS, out of the exit door this summer?

Man City transfers: Who else could leave this summer?

Jack Grealish

Jack Grealish arrived at City as a superstar but four years on, he is something of a forgotten man in East Manchester.

The former Aston Villa captain has spent another season on the fringes at City, with Guardiola choosing to bring on debutant Claudio Echeverri instead of the £100million man as they chased the game at Wembley on Saturday.

A fresh start elsewhere appears to be the best course of action as this stage, with an emotional return to Villa Park seemingly the obvious choice with Unai Emery's men now competing for qualification to the Champions League again after a rapid rise since his exit, though Tottenham are seen as another likely destination.

New Ladbrokes Offer

Bernardo Silva

A player who has been at the heart of City's unrivalled dominance under Guardiola, Bernardo Silva is one of several players who have not looked the same this season and even recently admitted "generations and cycles end" when discussing his side's poor season.

The versatile Portugal international will have just celebrated his 31st birthday when the 2025-26 season comes around.

With a year remaining on his contract, City look set to cash in on Silva this summer.

Kalvin Phillips

Perhaps more likely as any player on this list to be departing the Etihad this summer is Kalvin Phillips.

The midfielder's £45m move from Leeds to City in 2022 has been a disaster, struggling to make any sort of impact, with loan moves to West Ham and Ipswich not going much better.

A return to Leeds following their return to the Premier League looks to be on the cards, with fellow promoted side Burnley and Everton also potential suitors.

Ederson

City's leaky defence has been a key reason for their struggles this season, having managed only 12 clean sheets in their 37 Premier League games this term.

Goalkeeper is likely to be an area where they make a change and current No1 Ederson, whose arrival in 2017 coincided with the most successful period in the club's history, is likely to be moved on.

The Brazilian has been surprisingly linked to arch rivals Manchester United with a move to Saudi Arabia also on the cards.

John Stones

Injuries have prevented John Stones being the all-action, marauding centre-back he once was having only started six times in the league for Guardiola's men.

His absence is another reason City have been too easy to attack this season and Guardiola may feel a more reliable option is needed to take them back to the top.

Acca Insure Ladbrokes offer

Mateo Kovacic

A recent newcomer to this City side, Mateo Kovacic has been a regular since signing from Chelsea in 2023 but may have to make way as the rebuild gets underway.

The 30-year-old is unlikely to be part of Guardiola's long-term plans, particularly after the January signing of Nico Gonzalez, who looks set to be the man to feature alongside Ballon d'Or winner Rodri when he returns.
