Willie Mullins' odds for the trainers title have been slashed by Ladbrokes ahead of a key weekend of horse racing in Ayr.

  • Grand National winning jockey Paul Townend is being backed to make it a double by winning the Scottish Grand National this weekend, according to Ladbrokes.
  • Townend’s mount Spanish Harlem is now second favourite for the Ayr showpiece at 8/1 from 20/1, while Git Maker remains favourite at 7/1.
  • WILLIE MULLINS’ odds have been slashed once again for the National Hunt Trainers Championship, with Ladbrokes making him just 1/4 from 8/13.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “All eyes will be on the Willie Mullins team this weekend as they head to Ayr with a formidable team. As a result, his odds have crashed to just 1/4 for the trainers’ title in what is expected to be a pivotal day in the race for the crown.

Spanish Harlem’s odds have also crashed to win the Scottish Grand National since the final declarations, with punters backing the mount of Paul Townend all the way down to 8/1 from 20/1.”
