Premier League acca: Arsenal win but it’s not enough

The 2023/24 season ends this weekend, so Ladbrokes is back with its last Premier League acca until August, looking at the final games of what has been a thrilling campaign.

It’s all still to play for in the Premier League, with Arsenal just two points behind league leaders Man City. It’s still possible, but given that they’ll need West Ham to beat Pep Guardiola’s side, it’s unlikely the Gunners win their first title in 20 years.

Both Arsenal v Everton and Man City v West Ham, as well as Jurgen Klopp’s final match as Liverpool manager, feature as part of our five-fold Premier League acca, which can be backed for just over 8/1.

Man City v West Ham

Look away now Arsenal fans…

We can’t see any other outcome on Sunday than Man City ending the 2023/24 season with the Premier League title for the fourth year in a row, becoming the first team in history to record that feat.

Man City are simply too good, too strong and too experienced at this stage of the season to not beat a West Ham side who, other than pride, having nothing to play for.

Some may look to the fact that this could be David Moyes’ final game as West Ham manager as a reason why the Hammers may be up for this one, and while that might be true, we’re still backing City to walk away with all three points, and the Premier League title as a result.

Man City to beat West Ham - 1/9

Arsenal v Everton

What Man City do on Sunday afternoon doesn’t matter if Arsenal don’t win their game at the Emirates Stadium, but we’re expecting them to do that against Everton.

Everton are already safe and confirmed to be playing Premier League football next year, and with this game being must-win for the Gunners, we’re expecting them to pick up the win.

Everton have been fantastic over recent weeks, including record a shock win over Liverpool last month, but we simply think that there’s too much on the line for Arsenal for Mikel Arteta’s side to do anything other than win.

Luton v Fulham

It's not only all to play for at the top of the table, but also at the bottom of the Premier League too, with 18th placed Luton still fighting for a chance to remain in England's top-flight for the 2024/25 campaign, which kicks off in August.

Luton need to beat Fulham on Sunday afternoon to stand a chance at staying in the Premier League, and with Marco Silva's side already on the beach, we're expecting the Hatters to walk away with all three points.

It could be too little too late though, as a loss for Nottingham Forest, who sit in 17th place, still might not be enough for Luton to stay in the Premier League, but more on that later.

Luton to beat Fulham - 17/10

Burnley v Nottingham Forest

Goal difference could come into play at the bottom of the Premier League this weekend, if Luton beat Fulham and Forest lose to Burnley, but we're actually pegging Nuno Espirito Santo's side to beat the Clarets this weekend, securing their spot in next season's top-flight as a result.

Burnley may have played good football as of the last few weeks, but this is their first game after being relegated to the Championship for next season, and while they'll want to end their campaign on a high, we're expecting Forest to walk away with all three points.

Forest were close to confirming their place in the Premier League for next season after going 2-1 up to Chelsea at home last weekend, but the Blues managed to turn the game around and win 3-2, taking things to the final day.

However, we don't think they'll make the same mistake this time around, which is why we're predicting a win for Forest over Burnley as the penultimate leg in our Premier League acca.

Nottingham Forest to beat Burnley - 13/10

Turf Moor - Burnley

Liverpool v Wolves

For the final leg of our final Premier League acca of the season, we travel to Anfield for what is sure to be an emotional game between Liverpool and Wolves.

On the face of it, there's nothing to play for in this game. Liverpool will finish the season in third place, regardless of if they win, lose or draw at home this weekend, and Wolves will almost definitely remain in the bottom half regardless of their result at Anfield, with no danger of relegation.

However, the game is set to be Klopp's last as the Liverpool manager, with Arne Slot set to come in and take over from next season onwards. The Reds will want to do everything possible to end the German's tenure with a win, which we're expecting them to do at Anfield this weekend.

Liverpool to beat Wolves - 1/6
