Scottish Premiership Betting & Odds | Ladbrokes

Scottish Premiership Betting at Ladbrokes

The Scottish Premiership is made up of just 12 teams, but to avoid a 44-match season in which all clubs would face each other four times, the league operates a split system after 33 games.

Once every team has played each other three times, the SPL is divided into two, with the top six playing the remaining five games against each other and the same goes for the bottom half. Points are carried over from the first phase but teams only compete against sides within their own section and cannot move out of either the top or bottom six.

The team that finishes top of the table after 38 games is crowned the champion, but the side that finishes bottom is relegated to the Scottish Championship. The team that finishes 11th in the Scottish Premiership plays against the Championship play-off winner in a two-legged affair to determine which club will be playing in the top flight in the following season.

Since 1986, the title has been a two-horse race between Celtic and Rangers, but despite the Glasgow giants dominating Scottish football there are plenty of twists and turns throughout the course of the season and they often come unstuck against the smaller clubs.

At Ladbrokes, we take SPL betting seriously and we have dozens of markets for every match, so whether you’re looking for the latest Rangers v Celtic odds or a game involving some of the lesser lights, we have you covered.

Even before the season gets under way, we have SPL title odds on all the teams which are updated after every round of matches, and you can also bet on the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup winners which are not always dominated by the Old Firm.

The Scottish Premiership is the main focus, though, so let’s take you through some of the SPL odds we have to offer for a league which continues to surprise.

SPL odds

The SPL winner odds are obviously dominated by the two Glasgow giants, but there are plenty of other options for you to bet on, especially when it comes to matches.

When it comes to SPL betting, we have the usual match result options, as well as both teams to score and over/under goals markets as you would expect.

We also have a wide range of goalscorer markets involving Celtic and Rangers, so you can bet on a player to break the deadlock, bag a double or a hat-trick at much bigger SPL odds. Scorecast allows you to combine the correct scoreline with the first goalscorer or you can combine the result with a player finding the net at a fixed price.

Additionally, we also have odds on a player outscoring the opposition which is worth bearing in mind when either Celtic or Rangers are taking on one of the division’s strugglers.

The Scottish Premiership may lack the prestige of its English counterpart, but that doesn’t mean we leave you short-changed when it comes to SPL betting, so you will find a great selection of #GetAPrice offers for every match and you can also get involved with Bet Builder in which you call the shots by combining different markets. The odds increase the more options you choose!

We also have cash out options so if the result is looking too close to comfort with just minutes remaining, you can bail out by accepting reduced winnings.

Whether it’s draw no bet, half-time/full-time, total goals, handicap results, winning to nil, match result and both teams to score or some of the other markets that float your boat, take a look at what Ladbrokes have to offer with SPL betting
