2019 Oscars odds: A Star is Born set to shine
Published:
A Star is Born looks set to sweep up at the 2019 Oscars, according to our latest odds.
Bradley Cooper’s directorial debut currently heads the betting in almost every market.
It’s 5/4 favourite to win Best Picture, ahead of 5/2 shot Roma. Green Book, The Favourite and Vice are all 10/1, with every other contender at 16s or longer.
Cooper is also odds-on to be named Best Actor at 4/7, with Lady Gaga (5/4) in pole position in the Best Actress race.
But it looks like he could be beaten out for Best Director, with Roma honcho Alfonso Cuaron the clear frontrunner at 1/2.
Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: “We’ve been treated to an exceptional year in film but the latest odds suggest A Star is Born will clean up at the Oscars.”
