All-Ireland Quarter-Final Predictions by Marc O’Se
Armagh v Roscommon
Roscommon will have taken huge confidence from an impressive win over Tyrone. They will feel that they have the raw materials to push past Armagh and book their spot in the semi-finals. With their forwards in fine form, I give Roscommon a right chance but Kieran McGeeney’s men will really fancy themselves to go all the way to the final and should win this.
Dublin v Galway
What a game Dublin v Galway is at 6.15pm. Galway will be delighted that Shane Walsh is available and with Damien Comer back to full fitness, they won’t make this easy for Dublin. Johnny McGrath will more than likely detail Con O’Callaghan but Galway still have to curb the influence of Colm Basquel and Paul Mannion. I am not sure can they do that and think Dublin will have too much for them.
Donegal v Louth
Louth take on Donegal in their first ever quarter-final on Sunday. Donegal have weathered the storm having lost to Cork a few weeks ago and Jim McGuinness has steadied the ship again. Louth have improved under the guidance of Ger Brennan and they will look to get a quick supply of ball into Sam Mulroy. Expect a tough battle in the middle of the field as both teams have tough competitors in this department but I believe Donegal will have too much for Louth here and will win at 1/5
Kerry v Derry
Being totally honest Derry should have beaten Kerry last year in the All-Ireland semi-final and if anything else the Derry players will know that and feel they can win this game. They have obviously died a death since their National League victory against the Dubs but they are slowly recovering again. Kerry are improving at the right time and upping the tempo/ I am backing Kerry to win this at 2/5.
