Ante-post betting guide to the 2018 Breeders’ Cup

With the 2018 Breeders’ Cup just around the corner, our traders have been hard at work pricing up each and every race pencilled in for the two-day event at Churchill Downs.

Europe will be heading to the United States with their biggest ever team, which has prompted us to open up markets on how many European-trained winners there’ll be.

Four is the current favourite at 2/1, with three winners at 9/4 and five winners at 10/3 close behind.

It’s a mammoth 66/1 that there are no European-trained winners, which seems unlikely with Enable, Roaring Lion and Polydream all set for a Stateside soiree.

Nicola McGeady of Ladbrokes said: “Europe is easily sending over their best team yet to the Breeders’ Cup, with particularly strong chances in the Turf, Juvenile Turf Sprint, and Mile. We had three winners last year, so it’s amazing that six or more winners is just 10/1.”
