Drogba scores again as Chelsea win again without conceding

Chelsea remain top of the Premier League after extending their 100 per cent start to three games with a victory over Stoke.

Florent Malouda ensured that Carlo Ancelotti’s men went into half-time with the advantage despite Frank Lampard missing a penalty and then Didier Drogba made the points safe 13 minutes from time when he took his chance from the spot.

Chelsea remain 5/4 to win the Premier League, with Drogba’s fourth league goal of the campaign ensuring he remains favourite to finish the season as the division’s top-scorer.

Meanwhile, Chelsea are still to concede a league goal this season.

Arsenal, who are 9/2 to win the league, kept up the pressure at the top with a hard-fought 2-1 win at Blackburn.

Andrei Arshavin hit the winner for Arsene Wenger’s charge after Mame Biram Diouf’s first league goal for Blackburn had cancelled out Theo Walcott’s opener.

The shock of the day came at White Hart Lane as Tottenham seemed to suffer from a Champions League hangover by losing 1-0 to Wigan.

Hugo Rodallega fired the solitary goal ten minutes from time to help Wigan bounce back from their early season heavy defeats against Blackpool and Chelsea.

Elsewhere, Dickson Etuhu spoilt the first ever Premier League game at Bloomfield Road as his late strike earned Fulham a 2-2 draw at Blackpool.

The result also means that Fulham have drawn all three of their league games thus far and maintain their unbeaten start.

Andy Carroll followed up on the hat-trick he scored for Newcastle against Aston Villa with the equaliser in a 1-1 draw at Wolves.

Manchester City play Sunderland on Sunday and are 6/1 to win the Premier League. See the whole market.
