Bradford vs Gillingham – Hendrie to make Bradford debut

| 17.09.2010

Bradford have announced the signing of Lee Hendrie and the former Aston Villa player is likely to be thrust straight into the first team for the visit of Gillingham.

Bradford have picked up just four points from their opening six games and manager Peter Taylor will be hoping Lee Hendrie’s experience can spur Bradford into action – they are 11/8 to win.

Both teams are languishing at the wrong end of the table but Gillingham will be buoyed by their win over League One leaders Torquay last weekend which gave them their first three points of the season and they are 15/8 to continue winning.

Relegated Gillingham didn’t win an away match at all last season and they will need to start winning away from home if they have aspirations of bouncing straight back to League One.

Burton Albion vs Crewe

Crewe have scored 14 goals in six games this season, more than any other side in League Two and are 12/5 to beat Burton at the Pirelli stadium.

Burton are 11/10 to win at home but Crewe completed the double over Burton last season and their confidence is high after beating Bury 3-0 last week.

Crewe will have to watch for Burton striker Shaun Harrad who has 5 goals in three games, including a hat-trick last week and is 9/2 to score the first goal.

Chesterfield vs Cheltenham

Both teams are currently vying for positions in the play-off places of League Two and this could be the most evenly matched game of the weekend.

Chesterfield are unbeaten this season and are 8/11 to win but with this tie only providing three goals in the last five meetings – all by Chesterfield – it’s safe to assume a low scoring game and the 0-0 draw is available at 9/1.

Torquay continue to top League One and are 7/4 to win away at Stevenage. See the latest League Two betting markets here.
