Fellaini optimistic that Everton can take three points off Chelsea

Everton may be a big price at 13/2 to win at Chelsea and pile more pressure on the reigning Premier League champions because they tend to produce their best football when taking on the biggest teams, according to Marouane Fellaini.

David Moyes’ team were tipped for a big season during the current campaign and were even considered worthy contenders in some parts to break into the top four.

However, all has not gone to plan at Everton and they currently find themselves at the wrong end of the table, just two points outside of the relegation places after 15 games.

Although they are unlikely to go down, and the betting odds of 33/1 on Everton being relegated support this, they will need to start a positive string of results soon.

Fellaini feels this is possible against Chelsea, especially as there is a lot of fury in the Everton dressing room at present after the recent 4-1 home thrashing by West Brom.

The Belgian said: “Chelsea are a big team, they won the league last year, but we are going there to win.

“We do seem to play better against the good teams. Why is it that way? Because maybe we have better motivation and big players enjoy playing the big teams.”

Everton have taken a point from Stamford Bridge in all of the last four Premier League seasons, including when claiming a 3-3 draw during the last campaign.

A good result could spark a climb up the Premier League standings and it is 4/1 that they leave Chelsea with another point.

Their cause may also be helped by the fact that Chelsea have not won any of their last three league games, although they are still 4/11 to beat Everton.

A £10 bet on Everton securing a 2-2 draw away at Chelsea could return £220. New Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
