Juventus vs Man City – Hosts to preserve unbeaten Group A record

| 16.12.2010

Manchester City and Lech Poznan may have already been confirmed as the Group A representatives in the final 32 of the Europa League, but Juventus will still want to end their European adventure this year with a bang.

Juventus are still to taste defeat in the competition this season, but five straight draws mean that the best they do is take third spot.

However, they will want to maintain their unbeaten record and collect a first group victory against Manchester City.

Juventus’ betting odds are 7/5 to win at home to Manchester City and their task is likely to be made easier by the fact that the visitors are to leave Mario Balotelli in England, while strike partner Carlos Tevez could also miss out.

A draw would mean that the Old Lady become the second team ever to share their points in all of their group stage games, while this would also be enough to seal the progression of Roberto Mancini’s team as group winners.

This outcome is priced at 11/5, while Manchester City are 2/1 to take the victory despite their depleted attack.

Lech travel to Austria to face FC Salzburg in the other group game and know that they could still top the group if they win.

Betting odds of 21/10 are available that Lech take the three points and their cause may be helped by the fact that the hosts have managed just one goal across their five Group A games so far.

Lech have the added advantage of a previous win over Salzburg when the pair clashed in Poland earlier in the group stage.

Salzburg are 5/4 to pick up the win in the Europa League betting odds, although this would not prevent them finishing at the foot of the group.

A £10 bet on the scorecast of Juventus winning 1-0 and Simone Pepe scoring the only goal could return £450. New Ladbrokes customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
