Stoke vs Everton – Hosts 13/8 to end five-game winless streak

| 30.12.2010

Since Stoke have been promoted to the Premier League they have failed to win any of their five meetings with Everton, but this season could represent their best opportunity to end this streak.

Match Odds

Everton were expected in some quarters to be challenging for top-four honours this season, but a disappointing start to the campaign led to them floundering at the foot of the table.

A four-game unbeaten run has since helped them to recover to move into the mid-table positions and they are 13/8 in the Premier League betting odds to continue their recovery by taking three points off Stoke.

The hosts have been inconsistent of late as they followed up on a useful win at Blackburn by getting defeated at home by Fulham.

Stoke’s betting odds are also 13/8 to beat Everton and remain above their opponents in their league standings.

Correct Scoreline

Based on the last three showdowns between Stoke and Everton, this season’s encounter at the Britannia is liable to be low scoring.

Only three goals have been managed in the last three meetings between the pair, including when Everton landed a 1-0 home win in November.

Another tight game could take place and the 8/1 offered on the game finishing goalless may represent good value.

With Everton’s strikers in such poor form in front of goal, they are unlikely to find the target frequently and therefore if they are to win it could be 1-0, which is priced at 7/1.

Meanwhile, with no goals having been scored in the first half in any of the last three games between the pair, it could also prove profitable to take the 4/1 that the game is level at half-time with Everton winning at the final whistle.

A £10 stake on Marouane Fellaini scoring first would return £100. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
