Masters Snooker Bet

Ronnie O’Sullivan made a surprise first round exit at the Ladbrokes Mobile Masters and he joins Stephen Maguire on the casualty list from the third day..

That takes the toll to six odds-on favourites losing in the six first round matches so far and Neil Robertson (2/7 to beat Stephen Hendry) and Shaun Murphy (4/9 to beat Jamie Cope) will be hoping the underdog curse misses them.

O’Sullivan’s loss means the pre-tournament favourite in the Masters betting has now exited the competition and Neil Robertson has taken on favouritism and is 3/1 to win the Ladbrokes Mobile Masters.

Mark Allen once again proved profitable for us yesterday and he is now 9/2 in the Ladbrokes Mobile Masters betting having been 18/1 before taking on O’Sullivan yesterday.

Only Mark King has stayed static in the betting market after O’Sullivan’s depature and remains at 25/1.

But the underdogs that have progressed have seen their Masters odds cut and Graeme Dott is into 7/1 from 8/1, Peter Ebdon 16/1 from 20/1, Ding Junhui 7/2 from 5/1 and Marco Fu, who beat Stephen Maguire is into 12/1.

Hendry is the first underdog to try and continue this incredible streak and the Scot is 5/2 to beat Aussie Robertson.

Of the two games left in the first round, this is the tie that will test the underdog’s run as Robertson is the current world champion and is as short as 1/1 to beat Hendry with a -2.5 frame handicap.

Cope has been steadily improving since his World Championship debut in 2008 and will not be fazed by taking on Murphy, the 2005 World Champion.

At 13/8 to beat Murphy, Cope offers plenty of value and has is a very tempting price at 8/1 to beat Murphy 6-4.

A £25 double on Cope and Robertson winning would return £109.25. New customers can sign up here for a free £25 bet.
