Masters Snooker Odds

Grame Dott takes on John Higgins in his first round match and after the opening day saw the underdogs take charge, Dott will be confident of victory.

Higgins enters the Ladbrokes Mobile Masters on the back of a turbulent season in 2010 which saw the Scot receive a six-month ban for bringing the game of snooker into disrepute.

The six-month ban meant Higgins’ 2010 season was decimated, but the current world number one won two of the seven tournaments he featured in which is why he is the short-priced 4/9 favourite to beat Dott this evening.

However Higgins has a poor record at the Wembley arena in which the Masters is staged, and the Wizard of Wishaw has crashed out of the tournament nine times in the first round, including three losses in the last four years.

Considering both of the opening days matches were won by the underdog in the betting, Graeme Dott looks worth backing at 13/8 to beat Higgins.

Higgins and Dott have met 10 times and Higgins just shades the head-to-head record with six wins to Dott’s four, but Dott made the 2010 World Championship final in 2010 and has rediscovered his form since suffering from depression.

Dott looks the better value in the Ladbrokes Mobile Masters betting considering recent results and Higgins’ form in this event, and should Dott win then he can be considered a favourite for the event.

After Peter Ebdon (20/1 from 50/1) and Mark King (25/1 from 66/1) saw their odds slashed due to their results yesterday, punters would do well to take the 20/1 for Dott to win the Ladbrokes Mobile Masters before his match with Higgins this evening.

A £10 stake on Graeme Dott winning the Ladbrokes Mobile Masters would return £210. New customers can sign up here for a free £10 bet.
