Port Vale travel to Torquay hoping for one last crack at promotion

Published:

It’s a huge game for struggling Port Vale in League Two this weekend and a win would against Torquay would put them right back in the hunt for a play-off place.

Considering Port Vale have just one win from their last eight games it’s amazing their still in contention for a top seven spot and Mark Grew’s side are 10/3 to win on Saturday.

Torquay are formidable opposition at the moment and lie second in the League Two form table.

At 5/6 Torquay are arguably the value of the weekend in the League Two betting and with 19 goals in their last seven games, it can be a convincing win.

Torquay are 7/1 to win 2-0 but the better bet is backing them to win 3-0 at 14/1.

Chesterfield vs Macclesfield

After their defeat last week Chesterfield have seen their lead at the top cut to seven points and while they are still likely to win the League, the Spireites need a win to fend off the advancing Bury.

Chesterfield are 4/7 to beat a Macclesfield side who have one of the better away records of the sides around the bottom, but Chesterfield’s strength is so strong in this league that it’s hard to oppose them at home.

Macclesfield are 9/2 to win but punters would be better off taking the 11/10 for Chesterfield to be winning at half-time and at full-time.

Bury vs Barnet

Bury can take advantage of Martin Allen’s departure and go three points closer to promotion into League One with a win over Barnet.

At 8/13 Bury offer all the value against a side demoralised by the departure of their temporary manager and Bury have won all of their last three home games with Barnet.

A £10 treble including Torquay, Chesterfield and Bury would return £46.50. New customers sign up here to take advantage of a free football bet worth up to £30.
