The League Two sides to back in your Tuesday accumulator

Published:

Midweek fixtures are back and football bettors can consider themselves lucky with the top quality action over Tuesday and Wednesday.

In the Championship you have Ipswich taking on Southampton, Watford hosting West Ham and Brighton travelling to Cardiff while in League One Colchester host Charlton and Tranmere travel to Notts County.

Read our Championship preview and League One preview for the latest betting news in their respective leagues but in League Two we’re focusing on Rotherham, Crawley and AFC Wimbledon.

Rotherham to beat Crewe @ 17/10

Rotherham sit atop the League Two table having scored five goals in two games and they have hit their strongest form straight from the off.

Crewe are yet to pick up a point, conceding five goals in their two games, and they take on a side that completed the double over them last season.

Crawley to beat Southend @ 4/6

Southend may be one of the early pacesetters in League Two but they take on a side whose home form from last season was incredible and Crawley have won both of their home games this season.

The Shrimpers looked good at Accrington on Saturday but this is a stronger test and while home wins may be short to come by in League Two on Tuesday, Crawley will be one of them.

AFC Wimbledon to beat Plymouth @ 15/8

Wimbledon have scored two goals in all three of their games this season and their win away to Dagenham & Redbridge on Saturday was very impressive.

Plymouth are yet to find their feet in League Two and Wimbledon’s confidence makes them a great bet at 15/8 to register a second away win of the season.

Combine the three teams in a treble and you’re getting 12/1, a decent midweek return on a day when home wins will be hard to come by.
