Man Utd vs Chelsea: Quick fire United will be too good for Blues

Manchester United’s incredible start to the season looks set to continue this Sunday when they host Chelsea at Old Trafford.

A much changed United got a valuable away point against Benfica in the week, but the cavalry should return for their first massive match of the new season.

With the rapid Javier Hernandez, Ashley Young and Nani all set to start, it could be a long afternoon for Andre Villas-Boas and his side…

Match odds

Unsurprisingly, United are big favourites heading into this game at 5/6, with Chelsea 7/2 to get their first win at Old Trafford since Joe Cole and Didier Drogba struck in April 2010 to all but seal the Premier League title.

That’s the last game United have lost at home and, since then, they’ve gone 23 games without defeat, winning an incredible 22 and drawing against West Bromwich Albion in October last year.

United won four of their five encounters with Chelsea last season and it would take a brave punter to back against them recording another win this weekend.

Goal markets

United are in rampant goalscoring form and have hit a record 18 goals in their opening four Premier League games.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have kept just one clean sheet in their first four clashes and have only managed not to concede once in their previous 14 meetings with United.

With only three of United’s last 11 home games yielding less than three goals, backing over 2.5 goals looks the bet at 5/6.

Meanwhile, Wayne Rooney has hit a fantastic eight goals in the league this term, averaging two goals per game.

The 1/1 offered for him to score at any time may not be the biggest odds you’ll ever encounter but, on his current form, it’s still worth taking on.
