Tottenham vs Rubin: Draw best bet as game is about strikers

Despite the fact that Tottenham will field a weakened team for their Europa League clash with Rubin Kazan, the poor European away record of the visitors means they can continue their unbeaten start to life in Group A.

Home defeats in Europe have been especially rare for Tottenham in the past and it is 8/11 that they move above their opponents in the group with a victory to sit in top spot at the halfway stage.

The result could hinge on the performance of two strikers, who both know their opposition particularly well.

Obafemi Martins scored in each of his first four games against Tottenham in the Premier League and his pace could pose problems again, particularly if the game is tight.

For Tottenham, they may be relying on Roman Pavlyuchenko for that added attacking spark and he has played against Rubin a hatful of times in the past through his time with Spartak Moscow.

Pavlyuchenko is 4/1 to break the deadlock, which is the same price as strike partner Jermain Defoe.

With goals largely common in Tottenham games, 10/11 may also be good value that at least three goals are scored at White Hart Lane in the fixture.
