Rampant Manchester City can handle the heat in Spain

Manchester City have racked up a sensational 36 league goals so far, and although they have experienced some teething problems in Europe’s elite competition this season, they now look to be finding their feet.

The Premier League table-toppers are 4/7 in the Champions League odds to beat Villarreal next.

Villarreal, meanwhile, priced at 5/1, have not had the best time of it in their native Spain so far this campaign, currently sitting 13th in the table.

However, with Europe providing a welcome distraction from league woes, they would have had a point at the Etihad Stadium two weeks ago but for an injury-time winner, and those who feel they could go one better this time can take advantage of the 11/4 on offer for the draw.

Sergio Aguero was City’s saviour when the sides met at the Etihad Stadium, and there should be plenty of interest in the 4/1 available for the Argentinian striker to score first in Spain, and to score anytime at 1/1.

Big value could be found in correctly selecting a goalscorer for the “Yellow Submarine” though, and the likes of Jonathan de Guzman, who loves a pop from midfield, could prove a shrewd bet to score anytime at 4/1.

Elsewhere in the group, German giants Bayern Munich meet the refreshing and impressive offensive approach of Napoli at the Allianz Arena, and the home side’s ruthlessness in the Champions League justifies their 2/7 price.

Napoli have shown they are no pushovers, however, and their unbeaten European campaign thus far is a testament to their style of play.

Adopting an attacking approach either home or away, and boasting the likes of Ezequiel Lavezzi and Edinson Cavani, the 10/1 for an away win is a monster price.

The sides drew in Italy though, and the 9/2 for a stalemate here also looks appealing.
