Weekly Accumulator: Make some money on the Europa League

Published:

Predictions theoretically should be slightly easier for the upcoming round of Europa League fixtures and we believe that we have found a nice six-game accumulator that pays 52/1 if they are all successful.

The next batch of games are reversals of the showdowns in the competition from two weeks ago and the outcomes of these clashes may offer some useful insight.

Leading our accumulator are AZ Alkmaar, who currently top the Dutch Eredivisie at present, despite having already played main rivals PSV, Ajax and FC Twente.

They were largely dominant in their home game with Austria Vienna, but were caught by two sucker punches as they could only manage a draw.

A similar level of dominance can be expected in the second leg and this time they can secure the victory that will put them on the brink of qualification from Group G.

Standard Liege are the other team that are not odds-on in the accumulator and their position is virtually identical to Alkmaar.

A victory will also take them onto the cusp of qualification from Group B and they face a Vorskla side that miraculously left Belgium with a goalless draw two weeks ago.

If this clash is anywhere near as one-sided they should have be able to score this time.

Elsewhere, Lazio need to pick up soon and should land a first victory in this season’s Europa League at home to Zurich, while Legia Warsaw can complete a double over Rapid Bucharest back on their own patch.
