Champions League: Barcelona and AC Milan set for easy wins

Published:

While three of the four British Champions League sides have struggled through the group stages, Barcelona and AC Milan have shown how it should be done.

Both teams have qualified comfortably for the knockout stages and head into their final games safe in the knowledge of their progression.

Barca also have the added bonus of being guaranteed table-toppers – but that should make no difference to the outcome of their games this Tuesday evening…

Barcelona vs BATE Borisov

Barca are huge 1/5 favourites for this game and it’s extremely hard to see beyond a win for Pep Guardiola’s men.

Barca haven’t lost in their previous 13 Champions League home games and in those 13 games they have only scored less than two goals twice.

With Barca not failing to find the net at home since a goalless draw with Chelsea back in 2009, backing this game to finish with over 2.5 goals scored at 1/2 looks well worth taking on.

Viktoria Plzen vs AC Milan

The Italians are a very decent 5/4 to win this encounter and they should have no problems finishing their group campaign with a win.

Plzen were completely outclassed 4-0 by Barca at home and Milan – who are undefeated in four Champions League games on the road – should sweep aside the Czechs.

However, all of Milan’s last three European away games have all ended in draws so, if you like your odds a little longer, backing the draw looks well worth considering at 12/5.
