Test of top-eight credentials for Liverpool and Norwich

Kenny Dalglish takes his Liverpool side on the road to Norwich this weekend, and they are evens to record only their second win in seven Premier League outings.

The Reds have bee inconsistent recently, following up three consecutive defeats with a draw and two wins before losing at home once again to West Brom.

Norwich on the other hand have a strong record at home and they have only been beaten by one visitng side outside the top five this season, and that too was the Baggies, the Canaries are priced at 13/5 to net a win here.

The meeting between these two earlier in the season saw Norwich ‘keeper John ruddy in inspired form as he continuously denied the Reds strikeforce earning his side a 1-1 draw.

A repeat of the draw is available at 5/2 and despite this season’s stalemate being the solitary one between these two sides in the last six, a share of the spoils may be worth some attention, as the home side have drawn more than a third of the clashes in East Anglia.

Not to mention, prior to their humbling form Man City, Norwich’s last ten games had been decided by no more than a single goal.

There has never been a goalless draw when the sides have clashed in the Premier League era so opting for both teams to find the net at 8/13 may be a wise move.

The Anfield club have endured a poor season by their standards and their main battle now is to secure a top eight spot and try and finish above city rivals Everton.

Liverpool find themselves two points behind the Toffees and sit in eighth place, only four points clear of 14th placed Stoke.

If the Carrow Road club can secure a win they will move onto the same points as their opponents and be in with a genuine chance of a top eight finish in their first season back in the Premier League.
