Man City will not only beat QPR, but keep another clean sheet

Manchester City have not only won their last five games to move to the brink of the Premier League title, but the last three of these have been secured without conceding a goal and 6/1 seems worth taking that they beat QPR 3-0 to be crowned champions.

Home wins and clean sheets have gone hand in hand at the Etihad Stadium this season, with Manchester City emerging victorious in 17 of their 18 games, with 11 of these successes coming without the opposition troubling the scorers.

Meanwhile, of the other 13 sides apart from QPR currently positioned from seventh place downwards in the Premier League, Manchester City have won nine of these without conceding.

Amazingly, six of these nine successes have come via a 3-0 scoreline and with a third of Manchester City’s home games ending this way this campaign, 6/1 looks reasonable value on it occurring again.

Punters, wanting to play it slightly safer can take advantage of odds of 8/11 that Roberto Mancini’s men simply win to nil.

It would take a miracle for Manchester City to beat QPR and fail to win the title and it is a short 1/7 that Mancini claims this success.

Manchester City’s home record alone justifies this price, but QPR are not the world’s best travellers, with their 13 defeats on the road more than any other Premier League club this season.

However, they have almost as much to play for as Manchester City, as a result would guarantee their Premier League survival.

Even if Bolton beat Stoke, a draw for QPR would ensure their survival on goal difference and it is 6/1 that they follow Sunderland in taking a point from the Etihad Stadium.

A QPR victory is almost unthinkable and the betting suggests the same at 16/1.
