KO one way or the other a certainty when Haye meets Chisora

David Haye has vowed that his fight with Dereck Chisora “will not go the distance in a million years” and so the 10/11 on offer in the boxing odds that the heavyweight grudge match will be settled before the final bell must be worth investing in.

The pair have clearly built up a huge hatred of each other and there is every reason to believe that it will not take long before the boxing stops and it becomes largely a scrap.

This is a fight that best suits Chisora as he does not have the speed to land his shots from a distance and he does all of his dangerous work when on the inside.

Haye has the clear speed advantage and possesses a kind of footwork and explosiveness that Chisora has never encountered before.

If he does restrain his temper and sticks to boxing, he can win at a canter without Chisora ever truly getting close enough to throw his best punches.

Haye is the 1/3 favourite to beat Chisora, but he has shown in the past that he can get drawn into a brawl in the ring, most notably against Monte Barrett.

This is likely again as Haye attempts to prove himself after his futile showing in defeat to Wladimir Klitschko in his last outing.

Haye is 6/4 to become the first boxer to stop Chisora and this is something else he is predicting.

He said: “I think this fight will be one of my most entertaining. I will win by a knockout definitely.

“If he’s lucky enough to hear the bell for the end of the first round he will realise, ‘I’ve never been hit this hard before’.The same as when he got buzzed in the first round against Robert Helenius in December, he will get it 15 times against me.”
